What companies are Alltel's equipment (infrastructure) vendors? Thanks!

Heard from my local Alltel rep that they'll be getting a new Blackberry 'world phone' in the summer. Supposedly will work on both networks (can be used in Europe, for example).

Anyone have any details???

I am currently using an air card in my laptop. With my job I travel alot. Where we, are there is no EV-DO yet. However, in these remote areas, the air card sometimes does not get great reception. My Moto Q gets a little better reception. I will if need, tether the Q for internet access.
My question is:
Can I connect with the air card and the Q and somehow combine the bandwidth? I am running XP professional.
Any help would be awesome. Doubling my connection speed would make me do back flips!

Has anyone heard when the razr2 is coming out? I have a krzr right now and its a piece of crap. The screen never lights up when i flip it open and the camera won't work anymore.

When is alltel getting the new Razr2?

OK so I have had Alltel for around 2 years with great reception from my old LG 5000 handset. Now just down the road from my house in the second largest town in Michigan and my phone dropped a call. It was low EVDO and dropped instead of switching to a "regular" (for lack of a better word) signal that would have been most likely full. Is this normal or a fluke? I thought the phone would seamlessly switch to "regular" digital before dropping the call. Any questions, thoughts, or comments would be much appreciated. I have 10 or 11 days to switch the phone out yet, but I love the 8600 and I have a razr as my personal phone through another carrier so I REALLY don't want another one. 😕

I was looking at the internet an came across a new Nokia phone that was unlocked and had CDMA, which I believe is what Alltel uses. Can I use an unlocked phone, or do I have to stick with the Alltel phones? If I have to stick with the Alltel phones when are some of the new phones coming out?

anyone know how coverage is in ohio, namely canton,akron etc.

I am trying to decide which phone to get. The 8600 or the Hue. I like the outside display on the 8600 better however I like the fact that I can change the face plates on the Hue.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

I am looking for a phone that will tether with EVDO. That phone also needs to be able to connect directly to a Wilson booster.

Well, when i first bought this phone, it was around the end of june, there weren't any problems, but now, once in a while whenever i use it, it sometimes freezes then cut off then power back on , and it does that like, once every hour.....So i went to the alltel store, the phone just had to work perfectly there, lol...and the lady said there weren't any problems, and hour went by, the phone started to act up again....i went back up there, the phone worked perfectly there, as before, the lady told me the only thing to do is file an insurance claim , and pay 50 bucks..........i called the 1800 number, and they told me to do the same....Is there anyway i can go around without paying that fee, i know it may not seem like alot, but thats 50 bucks...

I was wondering if anyone knew of any phones that are going to be coming out soon for alltel. I am going to be upgrading my plan and will be getting a new phone and was just curious if anybody knew anything. Thanks.

Today, Motorola announced that most U.S. wireless operators will begin selling the Motorola RAZR2 in the coming weeks. Alltel, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and Verizon Wireless will all carry versions of the device, which was originally debuted by Motorola in May. Sprint and Verizon Wireless will both be selling the V9m variant for $250 and $300, respectively. It will be available from Sprint's online store beginning August 22, and in Sprint retail stores by September 4. Verizon has not given a firm availability date yet, but said it will be sometime in September. Is Alltel ever considering to allow activating a phone from a computer without calling customer service ? ( similar to Verizon's )

Ok so i got the lg about a week ago and love it! but, my alltel rep didn't really ask me about any features i'd like to purchase or anything like that....so here are my questions...hopefully, someone can maybe answer them for me....

1. was i supposed to get software with the phone b/c i didnt...

2. i'm not paying for celltop access or the tv access apps or any of that, but i'm able to access them...is celltop free?

3. when it says airtime charges will apply, is it talking about minutes of use or actual fees?

I live in New Mexico and have had alltel for a year now. No complaints so far. I recently came into a job where turn by turn directions is a must to have. Another employee has verizon and was showing me the other day that he can put an address in his phone and it would tel him turn by turn directions to the address he typed in. Does alltel have something like that? Was he just using a web site for this or a specific program though verizon? If alltel has this feture what phone would be good for this?

I cannot figure out how to take the faceplate off so I can put the blue cover on. There doesn't seem to be any button to push and I really dont want to break the phone trying to pry it off.
