By now, most of you are aware that the Motorola RAZR V3m has been discontinued in the two colors of silver and red in favor of the black V3a. You also know that the newer model shuns the memory card and EVDO capabilities. Wouldn't it have made a whole lot more sense NOT to disco the V3m's until the 2's were on board? I have lost several sales in the store because of these issues. The closest thing to the RAZR at the moment is the LG 8600 in terms of looks and capabilities, and people have been reluctant to go with the 8600 even though it costs less. I'm a RAZR guy, myself, and to offer a lesser phone without knowing exactly when we can expect the RAZR2 to hit seems a little hairbrained to me. Any response?

.to get my phone upgraded at alltell yesterday and wanted a Krzr, well we have 2 alltel corporate stores where i live and both were sold out, well the sales guy told me to go to walmart and get the phone and it would probably be cheaper. well i am going to get it this afternoon from walmart. is there any differences in the one from alltel and the one from the alltel stand in walmart? just wondering cause they are the only store that has one left and no one knows when they will get more. thanks

im having some trouble with my husband from tmobile not being able to send me pic messages. i mean it sends but it never gets to my phone.

i called tmo--at first they said it was alltel. so i called alltel and they reset something. we tried nothing. alltel said it was tmobile.

i called tmobile again and the rep said that tmo doesnt allow pic message to alltel, but its weird because when i first got the phone we were sending pic messagess back and forth, and now suddenly tmo doesnt let it happen. just dont know what to believe. can it be my phone

i am going to get a new phone this evening from alltel. my options are the razr, krazr, or the LG8600. my question is will all of these phones be able to connect to my girlfriends blackberry pearl to exchange ringtones? also would anybody recomend one phone over the others. i live in east texas and travel to west louisiana weekly. the service on my current pones sucks, it is an LG ax5000. any imput would be greatly appreciated.

I called Alltel today and asked them if any new phones would be coming out in the next few months and the lady told me that they are having a meeting tonight (7-11-07) about new phones. She asked me what I was looking for and I told her that I needed a tough phone not a phone named after a cookie or a pink one or one that cost $500, just a straight up tough phone with a good speaker and maybe mil spec standards thats made for the abuse a working man would put it through.

when would you be roaming nationwide???? and how do you roam long distance?

im on the national freedom plan and on my account it mentions that. all along i thought if i roamed it would be 40cents. so i was wondering how i would tell the diffrence wether if i roam and do get charged how would i know how much. thanks

Ok went into the alltel store with my Verizon razor and they said they couldn't use the phone with alltel. Pretty much after 20 mins of fighting with him I left the store. I went home called 1-800-255-8351 and the very nice lady had my phone(verizon razor) working on the alltel network. My dad has been with alltel since 1993 and Ive been with them since 2002. The people at that store really act like they don't want our business no more which is fine. My dad already switched his line to verizon and I haven't been on contract since 2004. I just cant wait for my mom contract to end and we all goto Verizon. Alltel seriously needs 2 step its game up or they going 2 lose alot of "Loyal" customers.

Is there any truth to what I'm seeing about Alltel selling out soon? If so, can somebody post a link to something official. I just resigned two contracts with them and this is very unpleasent news to me 😢 . Hopefully if it is true I'll be able to get out of the contracts.

My son recently moved to South Texas, between Laredo and Corpus. He has the Alltel National Freedom Plan. When looking at his coverage map it shows that all of Texas south of San Antonio is covered in the plan. His first bill shows he is roaming. Why does Alltel publish a map that shows the area within the plan and then charge roaming? Anyone know of any class action suits concerning this? I understand they may not cover every area, but why do they continue to publish a map that is misleading?

I purchased an lg AX8600 about 2 weeks ago. The battery only held a charge for about 6 hours. This was with only 2 or 3 short calls. I complained and the battery was replaced. I still had the same problem with the replacement battery. After a third trip to Altel, they replaced the phone. The new phone is not staying charged more than 7 hours.
Has anyone else had this problem. I plan to try and return the phone tomorrow, but it has been 18 days and they told me returns could only be made within 14 days.
I really like the phone, other than the battery problem. Should I try one more time to get a phone with a good battery?????? 👀 👀 👀

Does anybody know if you can suspend your service for a set amount of months , if your going overseas? Do they allow you to pay a lower amount for suspending your service. example cingular allows you to suspend your service for six months at 10 dollars a month instead of paying for your normal rate plan amount. ie like 39.99, I will be overseas for six months, no military reasons, due to job, but I want to keep alltel, but just suspend my service while I am gone, and not have to pay the full amount each month for non use on my phones. is that possible. ?

this phone is not going to be as nice as thought...no insurance is available...no really..the batt.is not removable...no slot for memory card..u can not buy this phone with out a two year contract...oh ya ...its att&t coverage..it will kill it self.. 🤣

I have a pamphlet from alltel indicating the new "prepaid" plans launch, which is where we're headed as a nation, (prepaids are easier to sell, obviously.) I am an avid amateur photographer. As such, I carry a camera with me most everywhere I go. On my hip is a cell phone. Shall the two ever meet?

IOW, I'd like a GOOD camera phone. My service with Alltel is fine, but their camera phone options are less than desirable. I'm not looking for a Nokia N95 (even though that would be great), but I'd like something better than the crappy 1.3MP offered now.

Secondary question: If Alltel doesn't offer a good 3MP or better phone, do you know of an unlocked model I could have them program for their network? I have read a little about the Samsung SCH-A990. Would that one work?

I just recently purchased the AX8600.
I didn't get the insurance at first. But then a couple weeks later I went in and decided I wanted it.
The agent there told me that you can only get insurance in the first 3 days of your phone purchase.
She placed insurance on my line anyway.

She told me there was a $95 deductible.
Isn't that a little high? Not even insurance through AT&T charges that much. Their deductible is $50 for any of their phones.

But anyway, hypothetical question.
What happens if I happen to "lose" my phone, get one through insurance and then "find" my old phone a couple months later?

Do I keep both of them?
