Just upgraded to the 8600

So I just got the phone about 3 weeks ago.

I really really do like the phone itself and the features.

The ONE thing (well there are a total of 3 things)... anyway, ONE OF THREE things that bug the hell out of me is the battery life.

Anyone else have major battery life issues?

I leave the phone charging all night and go about the next day with normal use on the phone.

About 5 PM rolls around and I have one bar left.
The phone can't even make it through an entire day without being recharged for a bit sometime during the day.

The other two things are lack of OBEX and while on the internet, it can't stream videos.
For example, YouTube.com, when I try to watch a video, the browser says "Error, Malformed URL".
What is tha...

Question for alltel employees

This quesiton is involving upgrades. I had a Audiovox 8910 (i think thats what it was) and recently lost it but it is time for my upgrade anyway i have never upgraded before so i was talking to a friend and they said you don't get to pick your phone your upgraded to. I was just wondering what phone would i be assigned to and if i didn't like it (my brother hasn't liked any that upgrades he's gotten since his first purchase) is there any way to try and pay a little extra cash to get the phone you want without signing another contract. I would just sign a contract but i just moved to a area that is always on roam (i have a plan where it's free roaming) and idk if i like how fast it drains my battery. I'd also normally ask at a store but th...

Moto Q question

Hey guys
Once again, this might be a dumb question, but I would like to know if when I do a new contract with Alltel, if I can get the Moto Q as my phone without doing a data plan? I know to get a blackberry you need a data plan, but what about the Q? Can it just be used as a phone and not for internet? I mean its got all sorts of features I like, but I dont want to shell the extra money for the data plans. Please let me know. THank you.

Alltel

Hey,
I have heard that Alltel has been losing money in the Ringtone/Axcess area and that they will be lowering the prices on that stuff this fall. Has anyone else heard that? or know anything?

newbie for a week!!!!!

Im a newbie at alltel. just got my contract a week ago!!!!

I had Tmobile since 2003, dont get me wrong i love tmobile especially there costumer service-- but ther where areas that i go to that i wouldnt have service that my friends with either verizon and alltel did!! that gets annoying to say the least. So i had a choice for verizon (to expensive but good reception) sprint (to many complaints) and alltel (people say they dont have good phones).

the first problem was that my contract with tmobile didnt expire till 2008!!!! so i was stuck, until my grandma said she needed aphone!!! so i called tmobile and they said to do a change of responsibility that way she wouldnt have to pay the activation fee. so i did. soon as i did that i...

New Phone Suggestions

I'm upgrading from an Audiovox i've had for around 2 and a half years. It wasn't the slickest phone around but it always worked and worked well but now after years it's starting to break down. I'm currently thinking about either the Motorola E815 or the LG AX-355 and maybe even possibly the waffer. My main concerns in a phone are 1. battery life (always on "roam" but have nationwide plan so it drains batteries fast) 2. reception 3. Loud speakers (audiovox sometimes was too quite) and i'd also like some features this time ie. bluetooth, mp3, camera, video and it'd be an added bonus but a welcomed one at that if the mp3's could be used as ringtones. If anyone has any suggestions to which phone u believe is for me i'd appreciate your input....

New Phones?

Hey All
This might be an old and annoying question for most of you, but have any of you heard about Alltel getting any new phones this summer? (Not including palms or Blackberries). A representative from an Alltel store in Charlotte told me they would be releasing several new phones throughout the summer, but he did not know what they would be. So any info on what phones and release dates would be greatly appreciated. Also, any rumors on Alltel carrying the RAZR2 when it is released? Thank you.

What is it?!

What's the email address for my phone?
I couldn't get an answer out of the Alltel rep I spoke with.

Isn't it something like www.alltel.mms.

Ya know? To send something from email to your phone as an MMS message.
