The razr is now on Alltel's Unified Portal. The 2yr pricing will be $199, the 1yr pricing will be $259, It will be released on November 21st along with Alltel's version of V-Cast, which will be known as Axcess MobiTV, and will be offered for $10 a month.

Courious if anyone new what their plans where. Western Wireless has gsm in a lot of areas for roaming revenue/partners. We are one, just curious if alltel plans to keep these with the purchase and if they do if they plan on expanding.

I bought the LG ax5000 from alltel 2 months ago and have recently had problems with phone locking up while in picture mode or just automatically cutting itself off after I end a call with someone. Either have to disconnect battery or restart phone.

The camera problems have been since day 1, but I don't use camera enought to let it bother me. But the auto-shutoff after every call is very annoying.

I know the "trial period" to return it is up, but I hate to have to pay the $50 insurance claim on a $75 phone.

Any advice on how to take it back and possibly switch to a Motorola since they seem to always give me the best service. Do you think if I complain hard enough they'll help me...I've been a customer for 10 years now!

It's been cold lonely days since I've gotten the V710. Now the Razr will release along with the Treo and PPC-6700 so the days should get warmer and brighter, but how will I obtain one of these magic phones? I'm scared, just a snuggly teddy bear with nobody to snuggle.

My contract goes up sometime in December. I've usually had more low end phones like the 5450 and 5550, both great phones that i never had a problem with. Now I want a higher end phone. I would like one with bluetooth so I can use the wireless headsets. I'm really into text messaging so I want a phone that is easy to send texts. And I would like to try the mobile web and the whole email thing.

I've been keeping up on whats coming out, and I don't know if I should fork over tons of money for the treo or the other pda phone. I like the nokia but I've heard it has alot of things wrong with it. And I'm not to fond of Motorola's, but I might make an exception for the razor.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Total wireless net adds were 21k. Alltel added 77k post-pay subs, but lost 17k prepaid in
its heritage mkts for a net gain of 60k. The Western Wireless mkts added 28k
net subs. The company also lost 67k subs in recently acquired mkts excluding Western
Wireless. ARPU in Alltel's heritage mkts was $51.83 compared with $49.36 in 3Q04. Total ARPU (incl. Western) was $53.78. Total churn was 2.37% vs. our estimate of
2.20% due to the losses in new markets and prepaid.

I keep recieving text messages from myself apparenlty. They say things like "check the fax machine" and "Emergency call home." When at look at the number that is sending them, it's from my own phone number. Does anyone know what this is all about? Please help.

I have a friend who lives in Nebraska and she has service with Alltel. I've told her about upcoming phones that I've learned about here on phonescoop. I am unfamiliar with Alltell's upgrade policy (we do not have Alltel here in Cali). What kind of discount can she expect if she can upgrade? When is she eligible for an upgrade? Thanks to anyone with some info!

The Kyocera Slider remix is suppost to come out at the same time as the Motorola Razr V3. And the Audiovox PPC 6700 sometime shortly there after...

Why would anybody want the Treo over the PPC?
PPC-6700 is a complete phone with Wifi and camera. I mean it's got everything and more that the Treo doesn't have.

I signed a 2 yr contract long ago (almost less then a yr left now) to save a few bucks on the phone I bought. Now I'm stuck with this darn terrible phone because Alltel and every company doesn't let you upgrade without paying full price for the phone. What do I do? I should get a 25% discount off any phone for working for UNC. But my local store won't honor that. At least then I could get the V710 for what with 25% off and the 6255i for what?

Is this true, these phones really coming?
The Kyocera are basic phones, but the Razr and Treo are nice.

was on the line w/ Alltel retention just the other day & she mentioned the new razr was coming. I've been out of a phone for nearly a month and need to make a decision soon on either a new phone or switching.
Anyone here know how soon the razr will be and a guess at price (based on contract length, if available)
