Motorola V600

I'm sure most of you know this, but it seems to me that some of you are way confused with things. The fone is being released in early April. From wut i have heard from different att reps is that the fone will cost between 500 and 299. the 299 price is likely with a 2 year contract and rebates. The fone was originally spose to arrive in stores in march but was delayed due to a software glitch.This is not fake speculation either, expect the fone is april for a steep price. hope this helpful

I figured I would use my camera for something other than bugging the hell out of my girlfriend in the bathroom while she's trying to take a shower.

This phone has basically everything that the V600 has (except the bulky external antenna and the buggy software), and got it unlocked and unbranded with no "new or renewed contract" for not much more than ATT will be charging for the elusive V600 WITH A 2 YEAR CONTRACT!

I figured I would rather enjoy these bundled technologies before they are obsolete (which they WILL BE IN APRIL - or whenever the V60...

Omg after like 5 month wait, I called and called around all the stores..

Finally found 1 place in Jackson Heights, Queens it and I asked for a discount because I am getting 2 phones... New unlocked.. $390! with 1 year with either T-Mobil or Cingular (anyone know which service is better?)

Training is scheduled beginning Monday 3-8-2004 for the V600. They say this is a good signal it is about to be finally available.

The rumored (I repeat rumored because I do not want you all to take my word on this) is that the release date is currently set for March 23, 2004.

I've said for awhile that the FCC ID has been the same as the V400. That meant nothing in the scheme of things.

And the merger doesnt mean a thing. Don't overreact folks. It will be a year before anything noteworthy happens.

Just got and edge ready 6820 on AT&T - i would take it over the v600 after all this any day. my recomendation is get one quick while supplies last!!

I think we all agree the release of this phone is ridiculous. I have seen upcoming phones with 256k color internal and color external screens, 1Mpixel cameras, etc.. These look to be released this summer I think the v600 missed the boat this time around.

AT&T and Motorola have done an extremely poor job on customer satisfaction around the information they provide on this phone. This has caused strife and anxiety among many people on this forum.

I say boycott this phone to prove they have royally screwed up and wait for the much improved phones early this summer.

Most of us have waited a year or more for this phone, so what is a few more months???

ok, first off i agree that att reps in general are no nothing idiots that provide little information. but if you go to ther site and look up numbers of different stores you can talk to a variety of different reps. this is exactly wut i did, most of them wher worthless and told me nothing, but i did talk to a few super nerds that kno the workings of the company like ther hand, and the census was that the fone will be released in april for about 299. Now i know you still won't believe me, but i dnt really care cuz u can call the store in Monterey, Ca.(831)648-5040. Ask when the v600 will be released and if they kno an approximate price. If they tell you they dnt then simply ask if anyone at the store knows anything about the v600.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE PHONE TO COME OUT SO I CAN GET OFF OF THIS DAMN SITE. IT'S LIKE I LIVE HERE, ALWAYS CHECKING TO SEE IF ANYONE FINDS ANYTHING DIFFERENT OUT. UNREAL!!!!!!! OH AND I CALLED SO MANY PLACES AS FAR AS PA, TO SC AND NOTHING. 😡

Well, I couldn't stand it. I quit waiting and I have ported to Verizon and now have the LG VX6000. It is an awesome phone, coverage is great! Good luck to all who wait!

YAY!! This seems like good news!

I talked to At&t rep a couple days ago and was talking to him about the merge between att and cingular and he said the merge isnt going to be complete till the end of 2004 beginning of 05 and he said if that even happens because they have to make sure its ok with the shareholders and some other people before the merge happens all i know is motorola and att are full of **** and they need to get there **** together cause everyone u talk to tells u something totally different.

Hey guys I actually work for Rogers Communications in Canada and was 1 of 30 employees to win a Motorola V600 a couple of days ago, and Motorola has advised us that we will be receiving them at the end of March

What a crock. What is the problem here? What is the delay? I wish that there was a decent phone worth getting from AT&T right now because I would just get it instead. I am tired of waiting and there is no way that I am paying 500-600 for the phone... it will probibly be full of moto's usual first revision bugs anyway. Thanx a lot AT&T and Motorola for getting your act together... this is a pathetic show of release organization. It's sad that two monster companies can't get it together and plan a smooth release. Hell, it probibly isn't even planned yet. This has been a very poor example of business.

Long time reader...first time poster. I found this link on the AT&T Wireless website today. You'd think that they would go ahead and give a positive release date on the phone. This is getting a bit ridiculous.

Just noticed they added a new line-up of phones that we already heard about in many cases by this website(Phonescoop)

They added the comercial that was showing on tv lastnight cause of the Oscars. The new line-up can be seen in the (MOTONEXT) page it's pretty cool they also added a new bluetooth headset. (HS820) I believe it looks great.
I personally own the HS810 currently using it with SE T616 which works flawless.

Another thing I noticed the contest for the 600 headsets that their going to give away it still states that the contest ends March 31st and when you try to registrate it still says that Iam early registration hasn't started yet..
My point is that they updated the webpage but that one remains the same hopefully thats a go...

Unfortunately it is available in Taiwan. Apparently the v600 works fine and can be released everywhere but the US. I don't know who is to blame, AT&T or Motorola, but this is getting ridiculous.
