Samsung SCH-A670

Does anyone know any good websites to download ringtones. I use to have a LG VX6000 and we had modtones DJ that gave us ringtones with words. Is there anything equivilant to that on the Samsung A670? Any websites I can download to send through vzwpix?

How do use the voice dialing by number I have done the adapts digits like 3 or 4 times and still can't dial by digit, also can you answer the phone with the headset on without having to open the phone my Old Kyocera SE47 slider would announce throught the headset when a call was coming in and you wouldn't have to open it, Someone PLEASE HELP!!!


Otherwise I am gonna return the phone if I can't figure these out and get an LG

There is a website called www.matrixm.com and it has a lot of cool animated pictures that I like. But since Verizon Wireless is not on the list of mobile operator, so I cannot purchase and download those cool animated pics to my phone.

On my old LG i had like silence mode and normal mode...If i want to go into school and have my phone silent is there a way to solence it all like with teh LG? Thank you for help!

Does anyone know if there is a way to put different backgrounds, or even different clocks other than the ones that came with the phone, on the external display?

when you record voice memos onto your phones' memory, is there anyway to have that voice memo as one of the ringers for one of your contacts?

Is there a way to assign a ringer to incoming text messages? It seems the only avaliable ringer spots are calls, alarm, data, and planner.

Anyone know if there's an OEM or aftermarket holster that can fit the extened battery AND can open the phone without unclipping it? My old StarTac allowed me to open the phone with the holster attached. With the OEM holster, I have to take it out of the holster to open. Any info appreciated.

I just got my a670 this week, love it so far (ringer coluld be louder), couple of questions:

a) can someone explain the difference between using the "#" key to go Silent, and using the volume control down button to go Silent ??? One way lights the "speaker with the line through it", and the other way lights the "musical note with the line through it".

My manual does not show the musical note icon in the list of icons.

b) Any way to use the scheduler (this month's calendar) as the OPENING ???? If I could just see the month for that initial 15 seconds of turn on, that would be enough for me.

Yeah, so the memory on this phone is partitioned out, by which I mean you have have so much space specifically for games, so much for pics, so much for ringtones, etc. This bothers me because I have 2 MB left for games, which I don't care about, but am out of space for ringtones, which are about 10 kB each.

So I'm wondering... has anyone figured out a way to open up all the memory for everything? I guess you'd have to go through Verizon and get a new BIOS put in or something, but maybe there's another way. Thanks.

I'm somewhat new to cellphones--had a very basic one last year, but I know a lot about computers and have a somewhat old PDA.


Anyhow, so if I find say some decent free ringtones--can I download those and upload them to the phone? Or does Verizon have some sort of block on this?

I'm not buying the cable from Verizon--most likely Ebay for cheap. The only thing that would stop me from buying the cable would be the inability to use it for anything useful.

Thank you to all who have been so helpful. Under Msg. Alert, you have items labeled type for voice mail, page, text , ext. I assigned different ringers to them but am unsure when I would hear the different ring tones. Basically if someone pages me, my phone rings same way and I get the same alert for both phone calls and pages. Why can you assign different ringer types if phone rings 1 way for all types of alerts? How would it be used?

Hi all.

Ever since I got this phone I've been attempting to personize it. While the butterfy animation is fine for mom, it makes me sick. Especially since I'm very skilled in graphics.

So, does anyone know if an animation/slideshow can be put on this phone and how?
