Motorola V710

Found this PDF from motorola. It seems to indicate that Mobile Phone Tools supports the V710, but not the Phonebook feature.

I want to be able to sync (push) Outlook Contact info to the phone. Can anyone confirm if they have done this successfully.

I have the cable and plan on trying it out tonight.

Does anyone else have the problem where after entering a new contact and pressing "DONE" there is a long delay before it processes the new entry???????

The video files don't seem to have an extension. How do you play them on a pc once you've transferred them?

my HS810 arrived today and i'm already loving it!! i know i need to charge it for a couple of hours before being able to fully use it, but i have been playing with it on and off for the past few hours..i tried to play the preloaded mp3 and a video i captured and the audio won't play though my hs810..what gives?

im having some trouble with mine. dont know what its supposed to look like but mine flashes the outline of the battery in yellow around one full bar. is this right or should it be the traditional moving green bars?

Ok, i put an mp3 on my phone, then deleted it and now that im trying to put it back it wont let me it says unable to move whenever i try...this has happened with some othe files ive tryed restarting the phone and everything but it still does it...any ideas???

After I disconnect it, it does not have any charge. Any ideas.

Over on Howard Forums we have been working on a letter to Motorola, and possibly Verizon, listing some v710 known bugs, and requesting fixes and firmware enhancements.

Does anyone know if the 128mb transflash from buy.com comes with an adapter so i would just be able to plug it into an SD reader?

if not anyne know where to buy the adapter?

Actually, it doesn't, but it can be done. I've posted this twice already and there seem to be many people who have missed it, judging by the number of posts regarding the speakerphone being used with the flip closed. Please read the following and lets bombard them with phonecalls and E-mails and we can get it done.

I posted this the other day. I wrote to Motorola to ask about the speakerphone and using it with the flip closed. This is the response they sent me:

you can download 20 free ringtone for free at this website, i just downloaded 6 already there sent to your phone by a data transfer, no cable needed, there not that bad for free!! when you click on the website its a photo album site BUT TO THE LEFT YOULL SEE THE FREE RINGTONE AD/SITE.just to help you guys out.

there has to b a way to have it on speakerphone and the phone closed while talking to someone and not it hanging up on them.....

I find that I can pull on the back cover and get part of it to come loose, without using the removal latch.

If you pull on the corner of the back cover, just above the side Volume buttons - does your back cover start to lift off the phone?

You can't get it all the way off - but it seems as though this corner is missing some mechanism to keep it locked down. Does anybody else have this - or is some part of my back cover defective / missing / broken?

Ive checked on the forums, and noticed buy.com and amazon.com had good prices, but Ive also read they are on back order.

does anyone know where I could order one for a good price and they will have it in stock and ready to ship out promptly?

Does anyone notice that when you open the phone there is are two lines in the upper left corner in black lettering:

Verizon Wireless
8/16/2004

But if you hit one of the numbers, (as if you are starting to dial a number) the two lines turn white/gray but you can still see them slightly against the white background. Is this a form of temporary burn in of the screen, or did motorla pick an off white color for the "Verizon Wireless 8/16/2004" to change too, which against the white background gives the appearance of "burn in"?
