Motorola V710
anyone else have this problem..
so as of this morn my phone stopped taking incoming calls.. people called me in my office to say it rings once and goes to voice mail.. over and over again.. its not allowing me to make outgoing calls either. i tried to correct it but im stuck, phoneless all i get is my voicemail icon, but i need to call it from a different phone.

I'm just wondering what all your favorite games are for the v710. It's lame that they don't even let you see what your buying.
What games are good and what ones suck?...I tried the only demo which is Jamdat bowling and it seemed ok...Might be worth getting.
Why don't they have tetris?...It's on the phone on the front page of the Verizon Wireless site.
Are there sites to buy games or are they only available through get it now?

Confused...
I've had this phone for about a week and it's the best cell phone I've ever had. It's not perfect (what is?), but it comes pretty darn close. I'm honestly confused by the plethora of negative reviews for a phone that's heads above the competition (at least for Verizon customers). I'm beginning to wonder whether these reviewers have the same phone that I do. 😕

Headphones for phone?
Anyone know what type of headphones to use with this phone? My normal mp3 ones don't fit. I know it's a 2.5 mm jack-no idea where to get 'phones for that tho. Thanks for the help! 🙂

Options for Customizing appearance?
I love all the customizable features on this phone, but there doesn't seem to be any options for the outside of the phone. At least the other motorola's had removable faceplates and antenna options. Any idea if any of these are coming out for the V710?

Why .mid?
Can someone please explain why I have to change my mp3 file to a .mid file to email it to my phone which plays mp3's supposedly? I'm confused.
Also, I haven't had any luck with mailing a .mid file to my phone. I read someone saying it is the size of the file so I'll make the file smaller but my other question is this: What do you do after you receive the email and you're viewing it? What menu command do you use? Please explain.

Phonebook display
In the phonebook you can cycle through your different groups, and leave it on one. It will stay for a little bit, but will eventually revert back to your default phonebook view being all entries. I want to get my phonebook to stay on just one of my groups -- any suggestions? thanks!

What is the max file size for midi sequences?
Most of the songs I have transfered have worked just fine, but a couple have come up with "unsupported file type". They are mp3 files with the extension changed to mid, just like all of the others.
The only thing I could think of is that they are too large (both over 300k).
Is this the case? If so, what is a good program to reduce the bit rate of multimedia files?

problem with the walmart ringer please help
when i save to my comp it shows its an mp3 and even when i send the email but when i receive it to my phone it shows as a text file what do i do and i dont have a memory card

Re-thinking the HS810
Moving parts *do* make a difference. After about a year of moderate use, the boom on my HS800 has broken. Or rather, the connection inside it (to the LED and mic) has broken somehow. This is darn near impossible to get to - I can get the unit itself apart, but no luck on the boom, which appears snapped together in a "one-time" arrangement.
Yet another thing to keep in mind when making the choice between the HS810 and HS820, if you're so inclined. 🙂

Wireless internet & V710
I ordered a V710 yesterday, and then today noticed that it was NOT listed as "internet ready" on the VZ web page - even most of the cheap phones are. A primary reason for getting this phone and VZ is to support express network with my laptop and PDA via Bluetooth (I do this now with the laptop using a wire to a LG4400 using my regular minutes). Are there any issues with the 710 and internet? I thought it even supported the VZ "broadband". If this isn't going to work I don't want to even open it.
Also, what software is being used to sync with outlook?
