Motorola V710

Can anyone please look at my list below and tell me if the software update will change any of the items I've listed?

Features I don't want to lose:
1) Bluetooth Dial-up networking with my laptop
2) USB Cable-sync with my iSync Macintosh
3) Picture and ringtone transfer with transflash

Features I hope to gain:
1) Bluetooth address book sync with iSync
2) Speakerphone use while flip is closed
3) Bluetooth phonebook transfer with my Prius
4) A working ringer while my phone is paired with Prius

I just got my 3rd 710 and was pissed they snubbed the TF move. So with the help of Phone-tech and others on this forum I was able to edit the seem, and also upgraded to ver 3.25b on MPT. Thanks to all of you and SD for the hard work. 1 Last req. would be to find the deluxe ver. of MPT so I can use the media and ringtone functions on MPT. Wahoo for you guys!

i don't know if this will work but i will try this when i get on my home computer, but others are welcome to try as well....
if you will record 20-30 seconds of a song on to the voice record mode on to your phone by simply holding the phone near a speaker to a song you like,(--create message, new pix mess, your email addy,"ok",blank text, voice record--) then send the picture(song) to your email
then open the email and listen to that song, if it sounds rite, then save the file(song), rename it to a .mid file and send it back to your phone via [email protected] and you can use it as a ringtone now.

now i know some will criticize this, so don't bother, but i am at work, 4:12am and i had this idea and i think it MIGHT work,again might,...

OK got another 710 [third one now ] and it has the new software from vw. I can't move ringtones to phone via T-flash card. What is the seem edit? or should I flash the phone with the hacked software P.S. can some point me to the latest Hack SW.

when i send my file through as a pixmessage i can save it to my sounds, but from there i can not apply it as my ringtone...please help.

So I just bought one yesterday.

The thread on synching via BT to my iBook looks promising, but I'd also like to be able to transfer apps, mp3s, photos, etc - can this be done?

I'd also like to be able to access my email without all the Verizon charges - in short, I'd like an email client and a dialer that would allow me to dial my ISP and download my email onto the phone - does this exist? If not is there enough interest in such a thing to write it?

Can in fact, I install an app on the phone that isn't a Verizon approved app?

im all set with ringtones i found a way to do it...you just have to send a message to a fake number such as 0000000000 and it wont send but your message will save and you can take the song from there and save it to your phone...you must have a transflash card though

I have mobile phone tools...someone said if you put in Motorola v710m you will be able to get the multimedia section to transfer files from your computer to your phone...can someone please help me with this

hey i was wondering if u could make a mp3 to a ringtone

I transfered a video from my transflash card and when I try to play it on my computer it says "selected file extension not recconized by windows media player. Cannot play the file. The player might not support the codec that was used to compress the file. cood1199".
Any help from you computer experts would be greatly appreciated.
Love my new v710 - but still learning

I currently have a 2-year contract with verizon. I want to buy a v710 on ebay, but am unsure if it is possible to use the v710 in place of my old phone. Do I let verizon do it or can I just switch the sim card?

I know that VZW offers three-way calls as a standard feature and I use it every once and a while. I was talking with someone who has Sprint who said that he was allowed to have up to 6 people on a call.

Does VZW offer this kind of conference call? If so, how can you do it?

I have tried to select and mark the pics and then tried to delete but it just says 0 pics deleted 😢 😢 😢

I have tried to move the pix into a "crappy" folder to delete with no luck 😢 😢 ☹️
