I just got a 710. Everybody here talks about MP3's. How do I play them and how do I download them?

I had to get a new v710 and I need to sink up my same wireless ear piece with my new phone, but I lost the directions that came with the ear piece, can anyone post the directions on here. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I am new to trying to change the cell phone functions. Are the hacks for the verizon version of the v710 the same for the alltel version. I am mostly interested in custom ringtones for now. Thanks.

Is there any way, besides changing the firmware, that you can get capabilities of making mp3s ringtones using the tflash card?

The link on nuclear elephant for motorola PST dosen't work. Also can some one tell me what version I'm looking for?

I have just purchased a 2005 Toyota Landcruiser that has bluetooth capability. Now I need to buy a compatible phone. Has anyone used the Motorola v710 in this car?

I currently have AllTel as the carrier and have been quoted $249 for the phone with a 2 year contract and $386 without a contract. I'm assuming there are much better deals around, but I need to stick with AllTel for coverage issues.

I have been able to dowload short and longer mp3 files to my V710 but when i go to the media gallery and select them it does not give me the option "apply as ring tone". Has anyone run into this and found a solution?

I'm seriously considering purchasing the V710, but I have a quick question about it. Can the pics be downloaded to my pc without paying for a special service? And info on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm using a SanDisk TransFlash 128MB card to transfer images and ringtones from my computer to my phone. On my first V710, this worked with no problem.

I recently had to get a replacement V710. I am able to transfer images with no problem. I cannot, however, transfer any ringtones over. I can see the ringtones on the TransFlash card, but when I hit the Menu button, it does not give me any Copy or Move option.

I tried deleting all the folders from the TransFlash card, and starting the process over, and still no Copy or Move.

I tried formatting the TransFlash card (FAT, not FAT32), started the process over again, and still no luck.

The files were created utilizing the iTunes method of converting and saving. What I can't unde...

I just purchased a v710 and have been reading this forum and am very confused and could use some help.
I see something called a seem edit and dont know what this is but it looks like it is important.
also i have e-mailed myself a short mp3 file and downloaded it but i dont get the option to add it to ringtones.
Can anyone give me some guidance - boy i thought this was going to be fun and easy!! the phone works great but i dont seem to understand the tweaks i need to get it to work to its peek 🙂

When I'm using the V710, the bluetooth headset works great. But when I'm just carrying the phone around I want to be able to pick up a call and use the phone, not the headset. Right now I turn the headset off to do that. Each time I want to use bluetooth again, I have to go through the whole process of a full device search and link-up.

How can I leave the bluetooth connected, but instruct the phone to switch between using it and not with a simpler process?

I e-mailed a short mp3 to my phone and saved it. I go to the media gallery then sounds and it is there but the option to apply as ringtone is not there. is there something i am missing?

Verizon has a bluetooth headset they sell for the v710 but I see Motorola has on their web site a more expensive bluetooth headset called the HS810 - 98565H. Anyone know how much better it is and if it will work on Verizon?

i was wondering if there is any way to put mp3 ringtones on the v710 with the new version? if there is can you please let me know how can this be done.
