LG VX-8100

I read on the page below that the 8100 has a CCD camera and not a CMOS as PhoneScoop has it. Look at the 8100 section about at the middle of the page. And it says the same about the 8000 too

On the interactive user guide for the 8000, the date on the phone says September 3 (2004)and it was released in February 2005. When you manipulate the address and put in 8100 the date on the phone says March 15 (2005). Is it safe to say an August date for the release or have i just been spending too much time on this website.

I've been searching everywhere and no one seems to have any info or even speculation on its release date.

what is the chance that if i drive to circuit city in the morning that i will be there or will i be wasting my time or should i wait and see if there is an overload in this forum and go Tuesday or could it be sold out. what do you think. 😁

I went to Circuit City this morning. The guy knew of the 8100, but had no news as of the release. He did say the e815 would be out next sunday.

I had to make this a big topic.I have also justed looked up on that Samsung SCH-A970 and I am now starting to get mixed feelings about getting the 8100. can anyone tell me which one is better because if they both come out on the same day I think I will be gettin the samsung

👿 👿 👿 As I said in a previous thread, you probably won't see the 8100 for a while. They are stuck with a lot of garbage that nobody wants. They are over-stocked with phones that are the same old technology. But having the best network, they can do as they please, knowing people won't stray. They have been doing this for years with no regard for customers. Sales are low because people are looking for more. When the hell are they going to wake up and do something for us. Whoever is handling their marketing should get a clue. They are costing VZW a pretty penny. Sorry guys, I just had to vent.

😡 😡 😡 Read on the Moto 815 site that the speakerphone on the 8100 was very similar to the 6100. A VZW tech says he got to test a production model. The 6100 sounds like crap. My daughter has one. Anybody hear anything?

and giving false information. I remember when the 8000 came out we had only known about a week, maybe even two weeks. This 27th rumor started over a month ago. If we could only post relevent information, it would make this forum so much better.

To all the Verizon Wireless employees...Has any store received the phone in their deliveries?

I would think the stores would have gotten the phone in if it supposedly goes on sale Monday.

Does anyone know if they received it in their stores?

Or do you sales people not know what you get in your deliveries?

I work retail and my store does not know what it gets til it comes in so its hard to tell customers it will be in on a certain day since I have no idea when it will come in til I see it myself that day.

I work for a major retail store that does sell verizon. I am not an agent but I do converse with our representative when he comes in from time to time. Looks like the new phones will be rolling out in late July. He did not specifiacally mention this phone but he said there will be several new phones comming out for the summer/back to school season. I will keep you posted.

I just left the verizon store after talking to a tech guy. When asked about the 8100 and the e815, he told me that the e815 would be out by the end of July, and the 8100 would not be out for a long time. What do you guys think? I'm probably gonna buy the e815 if its the only one that comes out on July 5.

Friday, when I was shopping for a wired headset, one of the techs seemed to know about the 8100 (though knew nothing of "when"). He said the phone will have a "music on demand" feature whereby you can hold it up to your radio and it will tell you what song is playing, artist, etc. Interesting feature that I never heard of (and wouldn't likely use)....was he confused with another phone or just smokin' sumptin'????

i really want to know if you will be able to read your texts on the outside display without opening the phone--if this is the case i'm definately going vx8100

😕 😕 😕 Really leaning toward the 8100, but if these assh***s are really going to hang us I might go e815. Never owned a MOTO. Had a Samsung many years ago.
1-Really that bad?
2-Charging ports? Bad Connection?
3-Speakerphone really low?
4-BT with headset?
5-Voice command
I've played around with one in store. I know the menus are a real pain. Have a LG6000 now. Voice commands suck. Always asking to repeat name.
