LG VX-8100

I'm a bit skeptic about the july 5th release of the 8100. the reason i say this is that i remember a few weeks before the 8000 came out on the lg website it showed a pic and profile of the 8000 and it said coming soon, i don't know that they do this for all their phones but based on the previous version i don't see how this one would be coming out without anything on their site when its less than a week away. also, it took lg almost 2 years to release the 6100 after the 6000 came out so all of these things make me think that the 8100 is further away than all of us hope it is

When the a$$es are in the seats - ... I mean, when the BOXES ARE IN THE STORES, then the phone is close to being released, no matter what or who anyone talked to or what rumors you hear.

Most (that's "most" not "all") verizon employees don't know squat, and the fact you're reading this message means you know more than 95% of them already.

And WHEN the BOXES hit the STORES, I'm sure there will be dozens of VZW reps who will post here that they have the boxes in their store-rooms, as well as the sale placards, dummy phones, accessories, manuals, etc.

Why you're all foaming at the mouth over all these tiny little scraps of mis-information and rumors is just crazyness. I want the phone just as much as anyone else... it will get h...

Do you think there will be any differences as far as signal strength between the two. I live basically in a concrete building...dorm. So if it doesnt work in my room then who cares about features. Also as well i have an mp3 player. I'd never use it on my phone as far as the LG. So any advice. Only thing i dont like about the motorola is the buttons seem like they are right on top of each other. So any advice. And it doesnt look like the LG will be out in the next month.

So basically i'm look at the one with better reception. Better camera quality and all that is cool but reception is my main concern

The LG Rep was in my store today, as he told me it was gonna be out on the 5th. Now infomanager has no info on it and we have no promo kit in the store. We usally get a promo kit at least a week if not two weeks before the phone launches. According to the Rep, all EVDO Markets will get the phone at the same time, then other markets will roll out the phone in the following weeks.

I have been demoing the 8100 for a couple weeks now and love it. With EVDO finally launching in Seattle, the VCast is cool.

time will truly tell.

I have a V710 right now and called verizon becuase I just had a second one sent to me and this one has horrible volume and the vibration is crap. The rep told me I could do an express exchage and get anyphone but there was a $50 charge. I said ok and requested a VX8000 she processed the order and its on its way here. She even check inventory on refurb PDA (650, i730) but there was nothing in. Is this a good move is the 8000 better than the 710???

🤣 🤣 🤣 Called MOTO and got the usual idiot. Did manage to find out the speakerphone can be used with flip closed and the menus are about the same as the v710. Guess they don't heed customers complaints. 😡 😡 😡 Too bad the 8100 isn't the same. Verified that again with LG.

Maybe I'm the only one who thought it was cool, but I really dug the way the 7000 lights up all disco-style when recieving calls. I know plenty out there disliked it, but since everyone has a cell it is nice to have something distinctive. Will the 8100 (or any phone ever again) have this feature? I swear to God I might get the 7000 over the 8100(!) just for this. Anyone's input is sure welcome, and if you have had a 7000, did you have any problems with it? Thanks all! 🙂

Verizon Wireless, LG to Launch Music Phone

Although the wraps have yet to be taken off Verizon Wireless' planned mobile music service, the carrier is gearing up for the launch of a LG Electronics' handset that will have the ability to support the service.

The LG cameraphone will have capability to support our music service when that becomes available, says Verizon Wireless spokeswoman Brenda Raney. The handset is expected to hit the market within the next few weeks, she says. Pricing for the phone is not yet available. "It will be competitively priced," Raney says.

Ok im sleeping infront of the verizon store untill they give me another 8100.I had one two days ago and some bum hater stole it from me right in front of the store. Then I got kicked by one of the fat verizon reps that sit on there fat ass and tell people how you cant upgrade yet, you havent had your old outdated phone long enough..That burns me to no end...Never ever sign up for 2 years. I allways just sign a one year deal so i can geta new phone each year. ok camping out right now till the end!!!!!!!!!

buying this ugly ass phone. I guess it's all personnel preference but damn, every time I look at the picture it just keeps getting uglier and uglier. 😈 😈

I TALKED TO A REP WHILE I WAS PICKING UP A NEW WIRELESS BROADBAND PC CARD. AND HE SAID END OF JULY BUT WHAT I THINK HE WAS TRYING TO SAY WAS BLA BLA BLABLABLABLABLABLALABALBLABLAA ANYTHING TO AVOID SAYING ANYTHING WORTHWHILE.
BY THE TIME THE 8100 COMES OUT A GREAT SUNAMI WILL HAVE SWEPT US ALL INTO THE OCEAN!! 🤣

Just got the e-mail today...the 8100 FINALLY made it to the Upstate NY approved device list!!!!!!!

Just to clear up a few things I've seen getting kicked around on the forum:
1) We (Reps) do NOT know the release date. We are all waiting for this phone as well so please, don't think we're holding back the release date from the general public. We simply don't know.
2) Since we do not know the release date, any date you hear is simply an educated guess. The best guess was this past Monday and it didn't come out, so you can sse that we're all just guessing here. On a side note, I have heard later this week, or maybe July 5th (I could be wrong)!
3) Stop comparing the 8100 to the E815. The V710 had a bunch of problems (software and the screen). The E815 is simply an upgrade to the V710 and we all knwo that those pesck Moto charging po...
