Just ordered it today...

🙂 Just to let you guys know, my store has just ordered the new phones. I am located in Horseheads NY. They will be in our store by Tuesday, July 5th, however, we will not start selling until that Friday. I hope this could be of some help. I hope you all find this to be good news...

Question

What if I order the 8000 and the 8100 doesn't come out within 15 days, what are my options?
My current cell company made me mad so I can't wait until I dump them.

e815 - Bad News

😡 😡 😡 Anyone interested in the 815 will have to wait till July 5th. Stopped at Circuit City. Was willing to sell me the phone at the retail price $299. Promotional price w/1-2yr plan not in their system yet. Phone is two/tone gray with silver buttons. Wasn't live, so couldn't check out menu or speakerphone. Reps had no info or training as to how it works.

Just Called Cust. Svc. - July 10th Release Confirmed.

I live in the Kansas City area, and am not a VZW employee. I just called customer service -- the 800 number, as reception is sometimes spotty in my office building -- and I was told the release date is July 10th. The lady I spoke with said the phones are to be shipped out on the Thursday prior, and that most VZW stores are open 12-5 on Sundays.

I asked for pricing, and she confirmed $249.99 w/1 yr. contract, and $199.99 w/2 yr. contract. I asked about $50 rebate, and she said yes, that was true. With my NE2, 2 yr. contract, and the rebate, I will end up paying $50 for this phone.

I know this has been posted here before, but I wanted to double-check after reading some of the recent threads.

Release Date Change!!!

I was speaking to my Account Manager for VZW today and she informed me that the VX-8100 would be out on July 10th at Best Buy locations. I believe this is a exclusive release so no CSR will know about it. *HUSH HUSH*

P.S. If you in the SF Bayarea EDVO is on in the major airports like oakland, SFO, and San jose. Hopefully within 45-60 days the whole area will be online.

BT accesories

Hello all!
I can't believe I haven't registered on this site until just now, after reading these forums at least 3 times a day for the past 2 weeks or so on this phone! Exciting to heear it'll be out soon.

Anyways, I am personally going to wait to buy this phone until reviews come out. I am interested in purchases a BT headset. However, how do I know what kind will work with the VX8100? Will all BT headsets/handsfree work with the VX8100?

Also, what is the best kind to get, in your opinion. (model, price, features, etc.)

8100 - - 815 or???

I have a basic question and I am hoping the more professional people on here can help me determine whether in fact either the 8100 or the 815 (or perhaps a lesser phone) is what I am looking for:

My analogy: I would love a 911 but perhaps I only need a Boxster! I don't really care about Streaming Video and while having a nice camera would be nice my main interest in a phone is: latest technology (including Bluetooth); great reception and great sound (with both the ear speaker as well as speaker phone), sufficient memory to download rings (I don't care about MP3 downloads) and convenience in a light small phone.

We will be new Verizon customers but I am going to wait a month (before purchasing) to see the reviews on the 8100 and 815 - ...

8100

I am an indirect agent in the Pittsburgh, PA market and just received an e-mail from my account manager that the rebate is available from Shamrock(our on line ordering website for rebates and brochures) to order for "future release date." 😁 😁 😁

So it must be coming soon!! 😉

Cnet.com Preveiw

Cnet has a nice preveiw of the phone, along with a video preveiw and they claim the phone does have 512MB memory. Finger crossed because without the 512mb and ability to take mp3 songs off my comp and put em in the phone, i dont want it........id rathher have a nice small phone like the 3300 then.
