LG VX-8100

this may be a common knowledge question, but does anyone know if there is an adaptor so that i can use my high end sony headphones to listen to mp3's on the phone instead of the oem stereo/headsets they sell separately???

I have been calling around to find a store that will have it in stock in my area since I am in the west couast. One of my locakl verizon stores has 9 in stock for a Monday july 11th release. Just thought id pass on the good news.

I finally held an 815 in my hand at a Verizon Circuit City. Seems nice...........but what a lame speakerphone, my opinion. My 270 Timeport, VX4500, VX2000, and V60 smoked what I heard coming from the 815 in terms of clarity and loudness.

What are your thoughts?

Please, i really need to know, so only if you know for positive, and have tried it or something let me know. can you record a conversation? i had an old LG vx2000 that could do that, and i loved it. it would store it as a "voice memo." i reall want this feature but on a new phone. anyone know if the vx8100 can do it?

I have had the unique opportunity to test both the 8100 and the E815. The LG 8100 has horrible reception, and poor battery life.

Motorola E815 wins hands down.

why would the date of availability matter from where you live, if you just order it online or over the phone instead of going to a retail location anyways? doesn't it just ship to wherever whenever it is released if you buy it over the phone/internet?

😁 Well, finally!!! I told you that I would post as soon as something showed up on the VZW intranet site. As of today, the LG VX8100 is showing up as "coming soon"! This is the first release that the phone even exists. Usually this means that the phone will be released in the next 2-3 weeks. I'll keep watching!

I don't know how the guy thought I was asking about any phone other than the 8100 as I nearly perstered him into quitting his job a few weeks ago (not really) with my nonstop inquiries!

Him: yeah, we just got 'em (must have though I said eight one five)

Me: REALLY? Can I see one? (like a kid in a candy store!)

I've cut the mp3 file down to a smaller size; I've saved it with a .mid extension; I've emailed it to my phone. But when I emailed it to my phone, it told me to go to www.vzwpix.com to view the email that I sent. How do I get the ringtone from my computer to my phone? Will I need a data cable to do this?

I was checking out the manual on Infomanager and the outer buttons, back, play, forward are just known as multifunction buttons, but no mention on what they do at all from what I see. The 512mb card is included and pix/flix are transferable on it. Apple Quicktime 6.0 required. I think they are downplaying MP3 capable until Get Music is live.

😡 is this for sure? is the battery really going to last for only 180 talk time. the 8000 is like 280 min, and the moto e815 is 280 min also. do you think phonescoop has that wrong?

I was waiting to get the E815 until I came here and saw the VX-8100 was coming out shortly. My fiancee has LG's (7000 and 8000) and has had no complaints.

I want to have a BT fully enabled cell phone, but I can't seem to find a definite answer on whether the phone has it or not. I'm betting on "no". Tell me if I'm wrong.

If I am correct, and it is BT crippled, will I be able to transfer information (such as pictures, etc) from my phone to my pc and vice versa via a different method? I see it comes with USB? Will that work?

Will there be a hack for this phone to enable bluetooth or some other features that will allow me to transfer files? I'm probably gonna get this phone either way, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna pay $15...

weird to see a NEW phone over on verizon's website [the moto 815] it's been over three months since i saw a different phone on there!!!!

so which one should i get the e815 or the 8100

the only diff is the transflash and the mini sd . thats all i really see.

I read something in the E815 forum about VZW having a VIP status, possibly something only available in certain parts of the country. Anyone here know anything about this?

Stop running your mouth thinking you got the phone if you cant post a pic of the phone. and a personal pic of it not a stupid a ss pic that we have already seen.
