Not looking good...for July anyway!!!!!

As of 6:15PM CST 7/7/2005 on infocenter for the Midwest, I looked at some solid release date info...Unfortunately when I looked at the Indirect phone skus, they don't have the 8100 listed but do have the Moto E815 listed (but as "limited availability in July") and the Samsung i730...this as of 7/5

On the Indirect Rebate 5W Doc, for rebates starting July 5, the E815 and the vx3300 (yes!!!...sarcasticly 😡 ) are listed as "NEW" but no VX8100 😢

I worked for an indirect agent and when news first leaked about this in December '04 I was pumped, I have been waiting since then but it doesn't look like July's the month!!! Another thing, there was a launch guide earlier this week on infocenter stating "The Wireless Device Group introduces ...

Can I play mp3's stored on the sd card through my BT headset?

I was ready to get the palm treo 650 until I heard the the BT is ver. 1.1 which means that you cant play mp3's throuch the BT headset. Im not sure if this true. the post said that you need BT ver 1.2.
Does anyone know if the 8100 is BT 1.1 or 1.2?

Wait for the 8100 or get the MOTO E815?

I have an LG 8000 now and will return it before the 15 days is up because the thing is so huge I feel like I could wear it as a belt buckle at a rodeo.

I've had an LG TM510 for the past two years and LOVED it, but its time to get with the times and take advantage of my new every two plan!

Hope!

Hope this phone is better then the LG 6100. I have owned the LG 4400 and the 6000 both great phones! Then my 6000 finally died and went and got the 6100 and got another one and another one and another one. Gave up and got the moto V710 which actually is a great phone. Very clear call quality. Anyway is just not the same as owning an LG. I'm super excited for this phone to come out I bet it will be great one.

Now I want to blab about Bluetooth

I want to talk about bluetooth, and why I think it's important for all near top, flagship phones should having it.

1. When your walking around with something in your ear with a cord coming down to your phone, you look dumb as hell.
Why because think about it cords get it the way they look messy, and come on people it's the middle of 2005.
2. Let me tell you I work for verizon data, and I get calls from V710 owners all the time that just got a PDA, and they had from a friend that they can get online with bluetooth.
It a big deal folks, may not be for everyone now, but I talk to people all the time that had there phone for months. And there just now getting around to bluetooth DUN with a PDA or something.
Think about it, when you h...

8100 - will MP3 player accept music file transfers?

I get the impression that you will have to purchase music directly from VZW to load on the 8100 and the SD card.

Is this true or will we be able to transfer music files from our computers??

July 11th, really?

One more thing I was wondering about..
The July 11th release date has been out for a few days now, why isn't phonescoop updated, or any other mobile phone websites? Do they have to wait for a call from Verizon specifically, or can't they base their information on VZW reps through infocenter? So is it really going to be July 11th?

Voice Dialing

Called LG to ask them. 1st person I spoke to told me it was the old type, each contact had to be recorded, with no digit dial. Didn't sound right. Called back. Spoke to someone else and checked spec sheet. Disagreed and said it would be the latest type, with digit dial. The question I had and she couldn't answer was, 'how does it handle name dial with several phone numbers'? Does each contact have to be individual like MOTO? Anyone know? Sure hope she was right about the voice Dial. 😕 😕 😕 😕

I was able to play with the LG 8100 today

I must say...I didn't like the Bluetooth pairing with my HS850 headset at all!
For one, it wasn't as easy as expected.
I know alot about Bluetooth and how it works so it wasn't that much of a problem for me to get it working properly. I know many customers are going to have a few problems.
When I press the button on my headset it goes to a "last call" type of log. I didn't like that at all either.
When I tried to do a voice dial, I didn't hear the audio on my headset which was quite disapointing. Make sure you shop around before making a decision of this magnitude.

Best Regards,

later than July 11th?

Alright, does anyone that actually works for Verizon, at stores or what not, have the phones in stock? The only information that I have pulled from phonescoop forums is that link of that pic howardstern has posted, and some e ployees saying "coming soon" in infocenter. Does infocenter (whatever this really is), actually state July 11th? Is July 11th ACTUALLY CONFIRMED?

Has the stores received the dummy phones? *PLEASE ONLY COMENT ON THIS IF YOU ARE AN EMPLOYEE AND ABSOLUTELY KNOW THIS AS A FACT*

Have the actual phones been shipped?
