When will it be in Washington DC

Anyone know when it will be coming to a store near ME? I'm incredibly jealous of you all who are getting it now. Why don't one of you lend me your new phone for a couple of weeks for... Testing. Yes, that's it... testing. I promise to send it back someday. 😁

What stores are getting it first?

Okay, so we know you lucky folks on the West Coast are getting the 8100's first. But for us poor slobs on the East Coast who have to wait a little longer - should we be looking to Circuit City first? The Verizon Wireless Stores? or the *611?

Thanks

So a VZW kisok had the phone in stock...

...and they were happy to sell it to me.

The problem was, they couldn't get their computer to ring it up. They tried for about half an hour, and finally I was told that the phone can't be sold until the 15th.

This was in San Jose, CA. Oh so close, yet so far...

more info up

I am not a vzw employee but howardstern had posted that link for infocenter on here a while ago, and when i tried to look at it there were only like two things i was able to go to without it telling me that my session timed out. I just checked it today and almost all of the links work. There are two big pictures up of it and the interactive menu works. thought someone would be interested. enjoy

A lot of pics have been posted with different colors. Is the blue front a dark blue plastic or a teal? Body, brushed aluminum like 8000? Thanx.

I don't think so!

I just called a Verizon store in Rochester, NY and was told no 8100s were in stock and the 8100 won't be for sale for two weeks. I'll give you the store number if you would like. Sorry. I was really looking forward to getting a new phone Monday. 😢

Monday! Monday!! Monday!!!

I called Customer Service earlier today and spoke with a nice woman who explained to me my options.

On Monday (the 11TH!!!) I can upgrade my plan to the 900 minute plan and get the phone I want (THE LG VX8100!!!) for only $99. The way she explained it was that I was getting a new contract that would take effect on the 11th and be a 2 year contract and since I was upgrading my contract she said I would be eligble for the NE2 deal earlier because I have been a loyal Verizon Wireless user. So I would get the 2 year price ($199.99) minus the NE2 $100 rebate for a final price of $99.99. Also the good thing about this is that I can change my plan in 6 months to something more beneficial to me and keep the phone still. If I understand correctly ...

No More VX8000 Listed At Verizon

Anyone notice that Verizon isn't listing the vx8000 on their web site for sale? Are they getting ready to replace with 8100?
