How to enable front MP3 buttons on ver. 7 on LG VX-8100 to play MP3s.

Unless its been discovered already my someone else prior to me and if it hasn't, then congrats to me for finding this out, I just discovered how to enable the MP3 buttons on the outside of the phone to play stored MP3s when buttons are pressed on the Version 7 of the LG-VX8100.

Hit OK, scroll right twice, then under SETTINGS & TOOLS, select number 1 (TOOLS), then select number 3 (SHORTCUT KEY), then select PLAY KEY and then select MY MP3's. This enables the buttons on the outer part of the phone to play MP3s stored on your memory card when you press the buttons since most people who have this phone got MP3's from 3rd party sites. I just found this out today. I had a problem with my phone, which was a Version 4 that couldn't connect to Ge...

Camera Light

The next time I upgrade I will have to resarch and see if there is a phone that allows the use of the flash during video taping. I love my phone and would not trade it in, but That is something that would be really neat.

good headsets?

okay, anybody know of a good 2.55m headset to use for enjoying the mp3 player. I've got a Jabra one with the earbuds, but they just don't fit in the ears well. I don't need noise-cancelling or anything (that would be cool, tho') but just other options.....like a 2.55mm converter or sumthin'.

lg bluetooth

im sorry to say any headset that hangs on the outside of your ear is going to be bulky not very seccure and uncomfortable. i have the jabra 250 fits neatly behind the ear very stable and super comfortable! and lets be honest to me comfort is important as function
and it performs pretty good as all head sets
they have little issues that need to be worked out. time will cure all. 🙂

Found WMP Setting that play on Phone

Go to, Tools, Options, Rip Music. Set it to, "Windows Media Audio (Variable Bit Rate)". Don't select "Copy Protect".

These settings work for me.

whats better? wma vs mp3

whats the benefits of playing wma formatted music or mp3 formatted music?

i know if you play wma music, when someone calls you, the music will pause and you could answer it. when youre done with your call, the music will play again.
i hear that mp3 music just turns off.
another thing i read is that you can find songs by scrolling through artists when playing wma songs.
u can make playlists using wmas.
is there any benefits choosing mp3s?
the only thing i could think of is that you could play unprotected music.

i tried uploading wmas onto my phone using cable in music essential kit. but unprotected music apparently gets deleted when you go to playlist.

ive tried burning mp3s onto a cd and then ripping them back into wma format...

Someone Please Help Me!

I have not gotten my Memory Card, but I was playing with putting a couple songs on my phone. I am putting WMA Files in My Music. Whether I have the MP3 Active or Disabled, I get a Player Error. The file name is, communion.wma. I checked and Copy Protect was not selected in WMP. I selected it, ripped the music again and still get a player error. Is this because I an trying to put the files on the phone rather than a media card?
Any siggestions?

Thank you.

Jabra 120's a bad product?

My second pair of Jabra's I have just purchased have already broken (through no fault of mine). On both of my sets sound comes out of only the right earphone and cuts in and out on the left earphone. Is anyone else having trouble getting these things to work right?

Problem with syncing music to 8100

I am fresh out of ideas on how to sync music from my computer to my 8100. I am following all of the directions from Verizon perfectly. My computer is fully equipped... It's not even a month old. Anyway, here is the error I get in Windows Media Player 10:

Error: Windows Media Player cannot play the file. If the file is on another computer, verify that you are connected to the network. If you typed a path, verify that it is correct. If the problem persists, the server might not be available.

If anyone has a solution, or even a suggestion, please let me know.

Thanks.

Okay. I ripped a CD to my computer and transferred the file by cable to "My Music " Folder. When I go into MY Music, the file is there and when I selct the file to play it looks like VCast Music is coming up, but I get a Player Error. The name of the file is, I Can See Clearly.wma. I have shortened it to, I Can See.wma, and it still doesn't play. I hav even disabled my MP# player. Any suggestions?

Call Waiting versus 3-way calling - simple question

How can you specify if you want to be on a 3 way call or just 2 different calls, switching back and forth? If you call someone while already on a call, it first has that person as a separate call. Then, once you press send, it joins them, and you can't go back to one at a time. Similarly, when someone calls you while you're on a call, you CAN'T join the calls!

Am I missing something here?

Thanks.

Picture metedata

I know the photos that this camera takes aren't encoded with EXIF data, but the phone does somehow store information about the date and time the picture was taken. This data is available in the gallery through the right option key and "PIX Info." Does anyone know how to get this info off the phone with every picture, or how exactly the phone stores this information? Doing this somehow would really help me out. Any information at all on this topic would really interesting me.

Thanks!
