Does anyone have an LG 9800 and use AOL?

I use my new LG9800 to read AOL e-mail. On the sign on screen you can check a box to store your username and password. Even with the box checked, I get the screen asking for username and password about 60% of the time when I sign in. Is anyone else having this issue?

Can't understand why it saves the information some times but not others.

Can the menus talk, too?

I'm visually impaired, and I'm thrilled to finally find a device from Verizon that will speak text messages! Until now, I haven't been able to text! Question I have, though: is there a way to get the menus on this phone to talk like those of the VX4650/4700? I stumped the heck out of the guy at the wireless store yesterday when "the blind nerd" started asking all of these crazy questions!

Hotmail POP grabs

I have hotmail set up to grab my POP mail. But the hotmail interface on the phone doesn't have the POP download option. Any way to grab POP mail through hotmail on the phone?

Thanks

a few questions

1) I looked at the phone in the store and the buttons seemed like they are a little small. Has this caused trouble for anybody??

2) How is the voice quality and reception compared to the 8100?

3) Can you have different wallpapers on both the inside and outside screens??

Thanks for any info. LG's Rock

9800 Issues-1GB card, video, sound

Had the phone for over a month but still haven't gotten the bugs worked out. Have a Patriot 1GB card from Fry's. It took a while to get it working, but it did, for a while. Now it's acting crazy. The menus say the card is full when it's not. Pictures can't be moved to the card (Get the msg UNABLE TO WRITE TO CARD). If I take a video directly to the card, it crashes and gets an error after a few seconds.

I've also had a sound problem playing MP3s. I could play one, get out then back in and there would be no sound even though the equalizer was moving.

Verizon installed version 2 software on it today but it didn't fix anything. Could be problems with the card I guess but it works fine on the PC.

Called LG 800# and the nice la...

New LG 9800 user with questions

Just traded my Motorola e815 for the LG9800 and I'm very happy. I do have a couple of questions:
1)AOL e-mail--The first time you sign on you're asked for screen name and password and there is a box to check for saving this information. That all seems to work (unlike the Moto e815). But--about once out of every three or four times I go to AOL e-mail, it asks me again for screen name and password, even though the box is checked. Anyone else have this issue? Does anyone know whether this would this be a problem with my phone, with AOL or with Verizon? Minor issue on a great phone, but it would be nice to fix it.

2)I read that you're supposed to get a free month of Vcast with this phone. No one at the Verizon store where I bought the phone ...

Just traded Moto e815 for LG 9800

So far, I like almost everything better on the LG. The sound is clearer, the Bluetooth connection is much faster (e815 took 3-4 minutes to connect in my car), the phone seems more user friendly, and it has a lot of neat extras (like learning ability for voice commands). Having a keyboard is sure an an improvement over tapping on phone keys.
The only negatives for me so far are the size/weight and that talking on the handset is different than on a flip phone. I knew about these things when I bought the LG. I debated a long time about making the trade but I'm happy with my choice.

Cracked inside screen on New Years Eve...need help!

So, here is my issue: I had my phone in my back pocket on New Year's Eve and the next morning i woke up and noticed that the inside screen was all cracked. Unfortunately, I opted not to buy the insurance (i didn't know you had to purchase the insurance within the first 15 days with Verizon, even though it has only been about 25 so far) so i am kind of screwed. ☚ī¸

Anyone know how i can get it fixed? I am sure that since it technically isnt a 'malfucntion' then LG will not fix it for me under their warranty (even though i am flat out amazed that it cracked under such light use...grrrr). either way, i am pissed that i can't set my alarm or surf the web now, what a major bummer.

thanks for your help,
ian

Prob w/ Moto BT headset

I just recently got the Motorola HT820 headset for my phone and seem to be havin problems with it, the main thing being that when other people talk to me it echos on their end but I hear them perfectly fine. Another thing is that where I work I am getting a lot of static and cracking, i thought it was the headset so I exchanged it out for another one, same problems. I'm thinking about getting another one.

Guess what I am asking have others had this same problem and what BT headsets have they had success or like. Thanks
