LG V VX-9800

Last night at about 1, I went to check my phone to see what time it was and my front LCD screen has gone blank and turned white. I have tried to mess around with wallpapers and whatnot and nothing has fixed it. I'm going to take it in to the store to see what they think...Has this happened to anyone else 😢

I was just curious, when you watch a video with this phone does it utilize the whole screen?

I am using the imtoo dvd to 3gp converter and the imtoo 3gp video converter. I primarily use the dvd converter to convert my dvd files. When I convert them to 3g2 straight from the dvd disc these are the settings I use:

Video Size: 320x240
Bit Rate: 256
Frame Rate: 15
Bitrate Tolerance: 60

And i use all the defaults on sound.

The picture quality for these settings on my 9800 are very very crisp. When i play movies though, it does a stop go kind of thing. The picture lags. The picture quality is excellent but the I cannot figure out how to fix the stop go.

I have already tried converting the 3g2 file into a .avi file and then back to a 3g2 file to decrease the amount of MB but that does not work either.

When I use IMTOO it still has seperate chapters and when I view through my flix it will only play one at a time. How do you get it to play a movie straight through?

I have optimum onlline and when I go to webmail.optonline.net I get a black screen.

When I got to IGN.com all I get is the screen where you get the advertisment.

If I go through Google then I go to the boards and it says this requires a secure log on

I just recently upgraded from the 8100, and I haven't been able to find a thread on this....when you open the phone to take a picture, is there a button on the keyboard that will immediately bring up the camera. All I've been able to find is hitting th "camera button" on the side of the phone, but that's a pain with the screen open. Other than that I know there is a certain key combination going through menus that will get me there. Thanks

Has anyone experienced this: For incoming calls, when I answer without using speakerphone, the volume is extremely low and increasing the volume using the side arrows does not work. The only way to fix the problem is after answering a call, I have to open the flip to turn on speakerphone and then close it again. Then the volume becomes fine. Anyone have any idea what is going on? Should I just exchange w. warranty?

I'm trying to figure out how to get sounds from the "My Sounds" menu to play as a ringtone. Its the menu that has the Train, Rainforest, Ode to Joy etc. Is there any way to make those a ringtone some how. I know my VX6000 I was able to do so but I am havin the hardest time with this. Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

this is my first phone with mp3 capability, so i am new to all this bitmap talk...(i don't even know what that is...) anyway i need simple, simple instructions on how to get mp3's as ringtones... any help would be greatly appreciated... thank you all so much...

Two more questions about the LG 9800:
On the contacts list, does it allow you to insert a hard stop followed by # or * and a pin number (for checking voice mail by pressing the talk button)?

I tried one today and noticed that voice dialing is a two step process. First you have to say you want to make a call and then you say the name. On some phones you only have to say the name. Is the two step process annoying or do you get used to it?

I HAVE A BRAND NEW VX8000 4 SALE...I WOULD LIKE 2 BUY 9800 IF ANYONE IS SELLING.

Okay, so I still have not ordered a new phone. Problem is , I had made my decision between the RAZR and the e815, but then they marked the price up on the e815. NOW, I am questioning whether or not to just spend a little more on the 9800 rather than the e815.

Any one out there have any thoughts on which might be better? I don't do a lot of text messaging YET, but just had it put on my phone recently.

Does the 9800 have T-9 (in addition to the qwerty keyboard)?

Does it fit in the universal clamp-type brackets for car use?

How is it to carry in a belt case--any bigger or heavier than other cell phones?

I use my phone frequently to read AOL e-mail, and sometimes to write short responses. This phone seems like a good choice. Am I right?
