1. Can you make this phone a modem?

2. Does this phone support OBEX?

3. Are there any phones in Verizon that do support OBEX?

It looks like an absolutly great phone, and from when i have played with it, it seems great. Does anyone have a suggestion, its a huge investment, haha... 😕

Alrighty well when I'm in my zone listening to my MP3's on my phone (9800 of course or should i say The V 😎 ) I get an incoming call and cannot answer it. I press send and every other button to answer and it rings/vibrates for about 3 mins and shuts off. When its open and it rings/vibrates and i close it the outside LCD won't show and it shuts off. Basically, making a long story short, my phone freezes when im playing my MP3's and i get an incoming call. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? And um is there a solution? Thanx.

i just bought the card and card reader today. do i still need to buy a usb cord to use BitPim or is there a way around it?

i formatted my card and then i put songs on it. i took it out to put more songs on it and my phone would not play them. it just shut off. what is the problem?

I'm not a fan of buying a game when I can't try it out and unfortunately, you can't ever demo any of games on this phone for free! Has anyone gotten any good games?... or ones that suck and I should stay away from?

Also, for VCast games... do I have to have the VCast package to use them? Will I get charged extra if I buy one and don't have the package?

I'm thinking hard about getting one of these. I like the big landscape mode screen, the keyboard, Bluetooth, Mobile Web, stereo speakers, playing mpeg4 video from the miniSD card, etc. Yes, I know it's not a PDA. It's more of an "entertainment phone" (and I wrinkle my nose when I say that...) But that's OK, I never fully utilized the PDAs I've had. I mostly use the address book, type in the occasional quick note, and play a few games.

Anyway, here come the stupid questions:

Is there a stereo headphone jack? And along the same lines, is there capability for stereo BT headphones? Is such a thing even possible? How about otherwise using a non-crappy stereo headset for both mp3s and phone?

Has anyone gotten an idea of what listen...

Everyone says this phone is chubby, bulky, and not comfortable...But I don't agree at all. I just used this phone in The VZW store (I have small hands) and I thought it was a perfect fit...This phone is very compact in my opinion...And I don't understand what everyone is saying about it being big..Either you have tiny hands...Or my hands are bigger than I thought.

Anybody find a good case for this phone yet?

Hey all, i have my NE2 and have it pretty much narrowed down between the 9800 and the razr. But I have never owned a candy bar phone and don't know if I will be able to get used to it. If anyone was in this similar position, can you tell me about your transition. Also can anyone compare the cameras of the 9800 and the razr by any chance? Thank you very much.

I was wondering if the symbols on the keypad (accesed by the orange "Sym" are supposed to glow orange when the key backlight is on. The main letters and numbers glow blue, but the symbols on the keys are so faint I can hardly see them. I though they would at least light up when I pushed the "Sym" button.

I have a desk top computer that I built. Needless to say it doesnt have blue tooth. Can I go on newegg.com and just order any old blue tooth adapter for this phone or does it have to be a specific one?

Hey everybody, I've been a PDA phone user for the better part of the last 3 years. I currently have the audiovox 6600. I've never felt that I use pda phones to their full potential. I like qwerty keyboards because of the ease to enter data in contacts, emails and text messages. I get terrible coverage with my 6600(drop calls constantly or am unable to answer calls due to lack of coverage). I travel North America on a weekly basis so I assume this phone doesn't discriminate towards any particular location. Can anybody who has made this switch tell me if it's worth it??

I am new to the whole cell phone thing so i have a couple of questions about the VX9800.

1. What do i need to buy to transfer mp3s from my computer to my phone? Can i buy a simple usb chord or do i need a scanDisk?

2. I heard that you can make your mp3s your ringer with BitPim. how do you do that and what is BitPim and where do you get it?

3. I have the basic hands free ear piece. can this be used for the mp3 player as well or do i need something else?

i apologize if someone already addressed this in the post. can someone who has this phone tell me if u can assign ringtones? on the description of the phones featueres it says that you can assign ringtones, but i called verizon and they said you could.seeing as verizon has lied to me before about phone features can someone with the phone please let me know?????

They changed the name of the VX9800 to the "V"? I sort of like the idea.

If I use a Mini SD WiFi reciever card in an LG vx9800.......will it work for internet browsing or does it have to be with a windows mobile phone?

I just got the phone and need someone to explain to me how to put mp3's and movies on this phone. I know you need to put it on the flash memory first. But what programs should I use.

Please help, I like this phone and would like to use it to it's full potential. Without getting frustrated.
