mini SD

I am not sure if this was covered in a previous thread, but I just got a 1 gig mini SD card. I formatted the card in the phone, then put some mp3s on it. When I put the mini SD card back into my VX9800 and go to my MP3s it says no songs found in memory card. Can someone please tell me where I am going wrong? Also, I used Windows media player to sync with my memory card reader and when I do this, it creates a new folder called music to go along with the four folders already created when the mini SD card was formatted by the phone. Someone please help me. Thanks in advance.

Free ringtone help

I am willing to make mp3 ringtones for whom ever needs one.

You do need to know how to put them on your phone however.

Just email me whatever sound clip you got or even the whole song and let me know what part you want.

We can both benefit from this...you get a ring tone and I get a new one to add to the list.

Never Buy it, when it comes OUT!

You cant always buy a phone right after it is released becuase it is going to have a lot of bugs that are going to have to be worked out. You need to give it a few months before the phone can work to its full capabilities. Look at the vx8100 when it came out everyone was upset with this phone, now after all the updates this phone might be the best phone outthere right now. with so much potential. I want a 9800 too, becuase it has that SIDEKICK look but im gonna wait to see if they can work those bugs out!

Ringtones?

Is there any way you can make a sound from My Sounds into a ringtone?
Is it true the only way to get the ringtone is to buy it from verizon?

Qwerty- for the phone gurus out there

Are there going to be any other Qwerty phones soon to come out, that the general public does not know about, for Verizon Wireless?

Any Suggestions!!!

I have been able to put ringtones on my phone from my computer.. I'm trying to find a way to cut the songs down instead of the whole song trying to play when the phone rings.. Anyone have any ideas on what software to use in order to cut them down???

9800 vs Sidekick 2

How does the 9800 compare to the Sidekick 2? I'm like the 9800, but how is the instant messaging feature on it for AIM? Are you always on and available for IMs without having to resign in or load? I think i saw this subject a few times, but i wanna get info?

My LG VX9800 and a Lanyard....

Ok... I just got the 9800 a couple days ago and I was REALLY obsessed with it (so I know my stuff)!!! 😁 However, I've noticed with most phones, primarily Samsung, there is a space to put a keychain or lanyard to go around your neck or just to look nice.

I wanted to buy a lanyard, for example the one at: http://www.daydeal.com/Gray_w__Light_Blue_Nec k_Strap_Lanyard-p-9305.html

And I was wondering if I could use this with my phone and if anyone has a pic of where it would go.

Thanks in advance

Reception Fading?

Anyone else having an issue like this?
Reception Signal Fade.
I have found that while in conversation with someone, their voice would fade. This would only last a few seconds and then their voice would return to normal. I would never loose the reception and could still hear my party. The other party would report that they did not note any loss on their end.
I am running the master volume at Medium High for these old ears.
The reception fade may be typical cellphoneitis.

Mobile Web Airtime Question

Mobile web uses airtime...does it use it ALL the time, or only when you download/refresh/update a webpage?

Also, is the airtime billed as if it were a call? In other words, if your in peak time its peak mins or if you in night/weekend, your billed night/weekend mins?
