LG V VX-9800

Has anyone been able to set up there speed dial for voice mail so that it automatically sends the password after dialing in?

I was able to do this with my v710 and e815 but the vx8100 and now my vx9800 are not doing it even though the everything is set up correctly.

Just in case you don't know I am talking about editing the voice mail speed dial entry so it looks like this *86P0000#1 (the four zeros being the password).

Is there any way to remove voicemail from my speed dial 1. I hate having voice mail in speed dial. I am capable of dialing *86. Help me please. Thanks!

Are there any bluetooth hacks that will enable OBEX on this phone?

I am currently deciding between the a970 and the VX-9800 and here is my criteria:

1: OBEX capable with hack (a970 is not)
2: mp3's can be used as ringtones

Those are the two main deciding factors for my decision. Any help would be appreciated.

This question may have already been asked but i could not find the answer. Is there a speakerphone when the phone is closed, or is it only when it is opened.

does any one know a cheaper way of getting this phone, rather than paying 500 without a contract or 300 with 2 years.

I'm the one who's trying to change my phone to either vx9800 from LG or a970 from Samsung. I like both designs of those phones, but each phone has different pros and cons.

I like the A970's design and camera. It had 2x megapixel camera in it and it also supports 2x optical zoom. Moreover, it has the camcorder feature too!

I like VX9800 because it has cool speakers and screens, keyboard and stuffs like that.

I really can't make up my mind. Would somebody please help me with this?

i just had this phone for 2 days still have my 8100 the video formats are the same the games i had on myh 8100 i lost, the video shows up half the size on the inside screen, what is the point of having such a nice screen, i was told the internal memory is 128mb hmmmmm seems like its 64. phone scoop lied again, no v cast games on the9800 or hardly any, i was told you had almost the entire internet on it, its the same as the 8100, no more flashlight either i made a mistake in buying the first in a line of good things to come this phone is no where near worth what i paid for it anybody want it its brand new 400 bucks straight up, let me know

looks to be a good phone...has a feature called text 2 speech...lets u listen to ur text messages...the wireless sync cost 20 dollars a month...looks very nice...this will be the first lg i wanted to buy...i just wish it had an html browser...oh well thank god for my i730!

ok im working through this bitpim and my new 9800 i will probably be posting many questions about this process and am following the thread on howardforums first of all i have the drivers installed for the data cable using version 7.3 im choosing com port 8 and 4 not really sure which one so i tried bolth bitpim does not even recognize the phone also it says to go to\Brew\16452\lk\mr\ on howards 'what' where is this. any help pleaaase

I just got this phone, and am very happy with its performance so far. Does anyone know if the calendar and contacts can be synched with Microsoft Outlook, and if so where to find the cables?

whenever I try to go to wireless sync email ( # 6) the phone shuts off and restarts itself. I called VZW tech and they said its happened to several phones and to replace phone. Anyone else experience this?

I am very technologically challenged, so maybe someone can help me. I was in the verizon store today and one of the reps saw I had the 9800. He said that is a cool phone you can watch movies on it and took his SD card and put it in my phone and played a movie. I asked doesn't it take up a lot of memory and he said no you can compress it. Does anyone know where I can get the program to compress mpeg movies and how i would transfer them onto an SD card to put in my phone and play it?

1. Can this phone sync with a secured company's E-mail? I always have to use a secure ID card with passwords to get into E-mail, unless I am on my server and docked.

2. Can I browse the Internet, like ESPN?
Will it display a page?

3. Are there enough ringers and games available to download thru Get It Now?
Currently I have the 8100, and I want to know what major differences this has?

I just got the 9800. Finally got the correct SD card (Verizon sold me the wrong one) Loaded up some MP3s that I made using a free converter. Each song plays for 2 minutes and then I get a Data read error and the phone goes black, then comes back on cycling through the songs. It doesnt stop until I hit end. I confirmed my MP3 songs play through on the PC. Any ideas?

I get a file info read error everytime I play my mp3's. It will not continously play. It will play one song and then stop. What am I doing wrong? Please help.

I am using an IMAP with my work network... I recieve emails just fine, but it will not always send the emails. I have had to go in and remove my device from the verizon web page, and reset.. will send for a while then stops again. Have been on the phone 3 times with tecnical support..... anyone have any ideas???? thanks Doug.

the 9800 has the new type of battery called Lithiom Polymer. What does that mean for battery life. I know with the other types of batteries, you can't charge them overnight or over charge them, only charge them for a few hours or until they say fully charged and then take them off the charger. How does this new battery change things?
