Motorola Q

VZW says that this cannot be done and replacement phone will need to be sent *if* it is still under warranty. Otherwise you are out of luck.

How do these two phones compare?Is it wise to go for the Treo or the Motorola?

Is there any way to listen to my unity messaging e mails from my Q?

Not sure if this has been posted already....did a search and didn't see it.

I've had my Q for about a week and as others have complained, I couldn't even get 12+ hours out of it. With minimal calls, a little surfing and by night, battery warning was going off.

I read on another site about a possible fix. For some reason, my phone came out of the box with "Accept Incoming Beams" turned on. This is for infrared beaming and the phone is constantly looking for infrared signals. I turned it off and the phone is going on 48 hours with full battery strength after similar usage.

Go to Start > Settings > Connections > A Beams....then uncheck the box "Accept Incoming Beams" and select done.

i got an email that has attachments with it, when i go to forward the email the attachments do not get send has anybody else had this problem?

I'm up for my new every 2 on August 29th, but I need to get the Q before Friday (if you want to know why, just ask).

I tried to get the Core Choice data package to get the $100 discount, but they said that I don't qualify until the 29th, because I'm only eligible for an early upgrade now. That means $300 for the Q, unless someone has an idea on how to get around this.

Got a question for all of you q users. Customer bought the q and synched with his outlook before doing a phonebook transfer. Obviously his outlook put all of his contacts from the computer into the q, but when I did the phone book transfer for him it erased the contacts put in with the synch. Now when he goes home and resynchs will it take all of his contacts that are now in his phone and add them to outlook, or will it replace the ones on the phone with the contacts from outlook. sorry if the stating of the question is a bit off, but you understand...right?

Is the Q's voice quality the same as the razr?? If not how does it sound?? Thanks

i have been trying out the Q for verizon and i love it. my personal phone was the 6700 and that's a great device, but the Q is a phone fisrt and then it has PDA like features. for my evryday use to make phone calls and use voice dialing its great. the wireless sync is awsome. only draw back is that you cant creat and edit documents. but i dont need to do that so its great for me. its thin and its that wide as i expected it to be. the battery is not bad and you can get an extended life battery for 20 bucks. now lets stop being cheap because thats a steal. the motorola Q is a great device!

I am in need of some serious help. My laptop is not connecting to my Q. I was on the phone today for over 2 hours w/ Motorola and we could not figure it out. Here are some details:
Dell Inspiron E1405 laptop
McAfee Antivirus protection
Trying to use USB w/ Activesync

The computer is just not finding the Q. We have installed and uninstalled Activesync like 4 times and nothing.

Any help from anyone is greatly appreciated.

I am currently a Cingular customer and my contract is ending in October. I have been considering either getting a Blackberry 8700c and staying or leaving Cingular and going to Verizon for a Q. I am not a business user and would only be using it for personal email and browsing the internet on the go and organizing myself (ie calendar, to do lists, etc.). Although I only use it for personal email I was wondering how quickly my email would be updated. I have a hotmail account, could my email be pushed immediately? If so is there an extra cost, and if not, what is the fastest I can get it.

Basically in the long run what I want to know is: Is it worth it? Should i stick with Cingular and wait for a GSM Q an have a BB in the mean time, or sho...

When I receive a call the picture ID is so tiny I can't really see it. Is there a way to enlarge it?

Is there a chromatic tuner & metronome program that will work on the Q. Thanks.

Hi - Is there a way i can see how much data i am downloading to the Q? i.e., does the phone track useage as well (I know i can get a text from VZ but the useage is usually 2 days old). Also, it there a way to reset the data useage counter on the phone each month to track useage each month?

Just got my new Q and am currently looking into purchasing the extra capacity battery. My question is do I need to purchase an extra capacity door to go along with it like other Motorola phones ?

I have checked a few places out on the net but found only the battery and no mention of the door.

So I downloaded the Sirius program that was posted on here a while back and it worked wonderfully. All of a sudden, today, it keeps telling me Connection Failed.

Did Verizon block this program from working? Anyone else having a problem with Sirius on their Q?

Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible to sync a video on this phone with a cable onto the card with media player.

Anyone know what pMSNServer.exe is?

Its always on in my task manager on my Q.

I don't have unlimited internet and want to make sure that its not using the internet.
