Motorola Q

I'm curous if there's a decent GPS capability in the current or future Q phone? Or is this something that could be added with some MiniSD card of some type?

Let me start off by saying that I am a 100% complete amateur when it comes to this stuff so if this is a stupid question I apologize. I think I kinda understand this but I just want to make sure. A wifi mini sd card will allow you to access the internet without having to buy a data plan correct?? But does a wifi mini sd card come with a certain amount of mb or gb? I see the "regular" mini sd cards come in mb or 1 or 2 gb but are not wifi correct?? Would I need to buy both if I want to store thing but also have access to the internet without having to buy a data plan and then just switch them back and forth depending on whatever it is I'm doing at the time??? Hopefully this question makes sense.

the rumor of the June 18th date change has yet to be confirmed. I wouldn't believe it until it is posted on the verizon website or you can personally correspond with the administrator.

I just found this article on the Moto Q. I thought it was interesting. I don't know a whole lot about this stuff so my question is. Does it support wifi with a mini sd sdio card??? I believe that's what the article says at the bottom of the article titled "What is the Moto Q missing" Am I reading this correctly??? I'm not all together sure what "sdio" means. I assume its a specific type if mini SD card?? Anyways here's the link to the article. If I sound like I don't know what I'm talking about....it's cause I kinda don't 😁

Ive heard tons of different things and i know this has been covered before and i did check but everytime i read something, another post just contradicts it. Do you need a data plan or can u just do a pay as you go cause i know i wont be using it. THanks

touch screen like on the 700 w-p and others vs

I am very interested in the Q. The Q will be be my first PDA-type device since the old Palm Pilots. My primary reason for a Q is the ability to check my corporate email.

Will the $25 VZW Data Plan (for 10MB) be enough?

Since I do not plan on doing much Internet browsing, I think I'll be OK.

Can you guys give me your thoughts on my assumption that the $25 plan is going to work for me?

Hello all-
first post on this forum, so bear with me if this has been discussed before.
I am currently with Verizon and not happy with it, and I am seriously considering making the move to Cingular for the Blackberry 8700c. On the other hand, with the Q coming out next week, it might be worth it to stay with Verizon. I know its hard to compare the two right now as one isnt even released yet, but I was just looking for other peoples opinions. What would y'all do? Thanks.

I plan on getting the Q when my NE2 comes due in early June. I currently have a Family Share Plan with 1400 minutes. I will want a Data Plan with the Q and I have read that Family Share will not be available for the new bundled data plans. My choices would likely be these:

- Seperate my primary line into its own data plan line and family share the other lines. This would be more costly since I use the bulk of the minutes for work.

- Add a $44.99 Unlimited Data Plan to my existing Family Share. This is not as cheap as the bundled unlimited access, but I don't need to break apart my Family Share.

The other question would be, do I still get the promotional $100 rebate if I add a $44.99 data plan to my existing service vs. buying o...

My deadline day is June 6. I fear if I buy the Q online on 31 May it will not make it in time to put the receipt in the return box.

I can buy another and and send the receipt in with the surrogate phone. Then do I simply return that phone to a store or do i have to send it back in the mail to get the Q?

When does the 15 day trial period start? Does it begin when I initiate the phone or on the expected receipt date?

how would you do it?

I'm brand new to smartphones or PDA phones... my last phone was the v710 (which is kinda nice b/c I'm gonna get $219 toward the purchase of the Q 😁

Anyway... can someone help me out with some general Windows Mobile 5.0 questions?

1. What kinda stuff can I load on this phone?
If I have JPEGS or MPEGS from my PC - I'm assuming I can just bluetooth those guys over to the phone (or use the mini-SD) - right?

2. How about games or apps? Do they have to specifically be for WM5 - or can WM5 run other executables that are able to be run on a windows PC?

3. If apps have to be specifically for WM 5 - Is there a large aftermarket for WM5 apps? Does anybody know a good site? Any free games or cool programs?

For those of you who are part of the V710 settlement, are any of you concerned about not meeting the May 30 deadline to return your V710? I believe all of us here are trying to wait patiently for the Q, but that doesn't leave much time to return our old phone, especially with Monday, May 29 being a holiday.
