Motorola Q

My wife and I are on an America's Choice Family Share Plan and I would be just adding an Unlimited Data Plan to my line when I purchase this phone.

Does anyone know if the Q will have a standalone email address similar to how the blackberries have the @csp.blackberry.net ??

I have confirmed with the settlement administrator that the June 18th deadline is only for a select few. I don't know why in the earlier e-mail they said all phase 1 claimants, but if you have NOT heard from the settlement administrator or other officials that you date has changed, then your due date HAS NOT CHANGED.

Do I understand correctly that you can use the Q with POP3 Email service??... and have it check more than one account??(3) Do I set how often it checks for mail??... Do I understand correctly that for the email to be "pushed" to the device as it comes in requires something like exchange 2003??? (my company is too cheep for exchange right now) Can I set it up to leave a copy on the server so that I can still have the email come into my laptop when I get back to the office??
With outlook... will it work like my palm (without exchange) and sync up when the devices are connected... by cable or blue tooth??
... I know... lots of questions... I am hopeful that this is the device that will finally get me down to just one thing to carry!!!

Please excuse my ignorance, but could someone take me back to the beginning with this whole V710 settlement issue? I have a V710, but haven't heard anything about a settlement from motorola, VZW, or any official source... From what I gather, there seems to be some sort of trade-in deal which expires soon? Who is elegible for this?

I was wandering if anyone knows when VZW stores get their phones in. In other words are they in stores waiting for the release date to sell them or will I be waiting for weeks if I don't order on line?

I know that shipping things to us here in Hawaii sometimes takes longer but I don't want to wait for three weeks to buy in store if I can get it in a week from on line sales.

I have seen conflicting information on the various Q sites I have visited about connectivity for e-mail. I am trying to avoid the $45 a month for the VZW Data Plan.

For the Q, is there a consensus on whether the mini-SD card for WiFi will allow connectivity for corporate e-mail access and the Web??

Does anyone know if quick2net can be used directly with Internet explorer mobile? I know using the wap browser on quick2net did not work on my v710.

so in new to the whole pda idea and looking at getting rid of my normal phone for the q or the 700p, but i own a mac. thats really my only case for the p is i know for sure i can sync it. ANyways,

Can i sync the Q (with the windows software) with a Mac, running the latest OSX...

We run the above for our small office. I have had a BBerry for almost 4 years and it works well with my desktop redirector.

Will I be able to get my Q (it is supposed to arrive next Thurs) to obtain email like my blackberry, or am I never going to be able to recreate the push of email like I have with my BB?

-the first option is obvious, but the mini SD wifi eliminates the sd card slot (if it works)

-I found an interesting bluetooth to Ethernet adapter here www.blue2net.com don't know how much though, and it would be limited to one area. (I don't relax 30feet from my computer for a dongle to work)

- Does anyone know if any devices have ever worked by connecting them to the mini usb on a smart phone? WiFi usb dongles are fairly cheap. But maybe the mini usb can not supply power to a device?

Hopefully the Q will be able to be networked at all. I did see the Dial up networking profile mentioned in the manual, so thats a good sign.

I seem to really like the features that both offer. I'm beyond crying over WiFi (buy the mini-sd wifi card). I'm really wondering if there is anything that the other really lacks that should make a consideration difference.

- Nice weight, sexy and size difference

I have used Palm devices for years however, I'm willing dump the Palm Tungsten T3 to Motorola's Q (MSFT) if I'll gain something great and I'm not really going to be lose anything vital. I'm tired of having 2 devices RAZR + Palm T3 when I could have it "all-in-one."
