Interesting tech question..... (JM, Nextel18, RCR, Mobile_Trojan, or anyone else intelligent)

Okay so PRL 20225 opened up EVDO roaming to Alltel, specifically in this case I am speaking of System ID 00424 (Alltel Lynchburg, VA who'd guess?) Well we can force our phones to roam and it is allowing to see EVDO is available but it is not allowing any phone to data roam. There was an EVDO roaming agreement with Alltel signed in May. Initially we had a Treo 700wx working on EVDO on roam but stopped later that day. Is there a department I can contact to see if there is an issue with data roaming in my area?

WHY???

the other day i was waiting in line in a retail store and there was a significant wait, but it gave me the oppurtunity to listen to some disgruntled ignorant customers complain about the bill that they know they ran up, sprint employees i feel your pain ...why is it that customers dont own up to there mistakes...for instance, you know you dont have text messaging yet you use 1000 of them, you know you dont have internet yet you download everything, you know you dont have but 300 minutes but you use a 1000.. then you run into anystore you can find and complain about your ignorance to innocent sales reps...own up!!!

Mobile to Mobile question

Hey everyone!
I have a clarification question. A couple of my fellow Sprint reps and I have gotten mixed answers and we wanted to find out definitively, so I thought I'd try here. Does the Sprint Mobile to Mobile include Boost? We know it does not include Virgin Mobile, but we've heard mixed answers on whether it includdes Boost or not. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Lets start porting some Cingular customers!!!!

Cingular has decided to follow Sprint in raising their SMS text messaging fees on a per-use basis from $.10 to $.15 per message.

Based on Sprint's previous acceptance of this as a material change, and that there is no alternative service to pay-per-use messaging (aside from purchasing an additional SMS plan), it does appear that you can cancel service and require Cingular to waive the early termination fee.

PCS Intel attempted to contact Cingular and ask for Cingular's official position as to their view of the rate increase. However, Cingular declined to respond to multiple requests for comment.

Users on this site, and other sites such as HowardForums have successfully canceled service while waiving the early termination fee.

Sprint Mobile Email

Has anyone used the new Sprint Mobile Email application and had any success. Any time I try to set up an email address using the same settings in Outlook or AIM mail all I get is an error message reading "Error S7122: Mail server is not responding. Please try again later."

I have erased and re-downloaded the application and am still getting the same error. Just wondering if others are having the same problems or if I am just a moron. Thanks for the help.

New Phone...please help! :)

Last Saturday, I went to the Sprint store to finally buy a new phone. I walked in dead set to buy the Samsung A900 and walked out with the LG Fusic.
I also posted this in "General"...

I don't know that "love" the Fusic. I've been told that I break up more on this phone vs. my old Sanyo 8100. And, I think I notice that when I'm speaking to someone, the sound isn't consistent - the volume goes up and down.

Basically I'm looking for a good overall phone. Yeah, the media player on the fusic is a cool feature but I guarantee that in 2-weeks, I won't use it anymore. I would like a phone with great reception, durable and have a decent speakerphone. Those are my 3 "biggie's".

Anyone have any thoughts, opinions, input regarding these 2 pho...

Some Sprint Questions...

MMS Messaging...When are we gonna get it? Why don't we have it already?

Text delivery receipts...I know Verizon does this, and I find it very helpful...I hear we're supposed to get it by Q1 of 07, does anyone else know about this?

Why can't you DL polyphonic ringtones to our newer phones? why do they have to be voice tones? I hate those kinds of ringers and they're always quieter than polyphonic.

TIA!

Why is Sprint the last to get the new Phones Now

Back in 2000 when I got my first Sprint phone they had the best phones around first, at&t and vzn did not even carry Samsung. Now it seems Sprint is the last to get the new Phones. Even now Alltel got the Moto Krzr a month before Sprint got it. Does anyone know why this is?

Do you still have my phone number I messaged you the other day? If you do is it possible to stop the system from saying I need a PRL. I got the right one finally but it still says it recognizes I need one when I call *2!

Final answer on data plan prices

I just thought i would straighten everything out here, because there was a lot of confusion in a previous thread.

For all EVDO phones, (except blackberries), the default powervision plan code is $15 per month. IF you have a multimedia phone, you may choose to take advantage of the plus pack ($20) or the ultimate pack ($25).

If you have a windoze device (PPC6700, 700wx, ip830) then there is no need for the second two packages, as those packs are setup to include picturemail and sprintTV, etc. These devices cannot take advantage of these services, and therefore you do not need to waste the money on them.

Now on to the blackberries. First of all, do you work for a company that owns a BES server? If not, (or if you dont know what im ta...
