Verizon is sooo much better!

You Sprint people make me laugh... Here's the real EVDO/network facts: Verizon Wireless has the best EVDO network period. When Verizon Wireless decides to make a metro EVDO they cover the city, the burbs, and even rural areas around it. Sprint on the other hand only makes little piss puddles in metro areas and leaves the surrounding areas on their older network. Yes, as of now Sprint has more EVDO markets, but hello... have you looked at the future EVDO coverage map for Verizon Wireless??? It's going to kick the **** out of Sprint. Oh, and by the way, don't even go there with the 800Mhz VS 1900Mhz thing... 800 is far better because of one thing, COVERAGE. Why do companies put up cell towers? To provide COVERAGE. 800 penetrates into buildings...

Sprint in Oregon?

I use to have Sprint about 5 years ago and traveled around the country for work at that time. The service was great *IF* you were in or very near a major city, freeway or airport. Anywhere else I couldn't get a signal at all...It's been 5 years, I'm hoping this has changed?

I now have Verizon and pretty much stick to Oregon only, but I am all over the place in Oregon and I have to be able to get a signal. Currently with Verizon I don't really have problems, but I'm paying about $75/month more than I need to be. I need just under 2000 minutes a month and unlimited data, with Verizon the closest plan is 4000 minutes a month with unlimited data and it's $189/month...Sprint has a 2000 minute a month plan with unlimited data for $115/month hen...

Sprint PCS and Internet Access

I am currently a Cingular subscriber in a rural area. I have considered switching to Sprint, but according to their coverage map I am only in a PCS area, not Vision, etc. Can I access the internet on a capable phone even though this is just a PCS area? If so, would my speed be faster or slower than Edge with Cingular?

Sprint RAZR $49.99

I went on Sprint.com yesterday to add another line of service and it said: Online Exclusive: Add a line for as low as $9.99, Choose from a Free Camera Phone or the Motorola RAZR for $49.99. I called Sprint and they said they have no RAZR's. Why are they advertising it then. The good ol' bait and switch. WTF?

Worth the upgrade? A840 to A900?

I have a Samsung PM-A840 and im interested in Samsung A900. Is it worth the price to replace mine? I dont use too many features so im mainly interested in how well it picks up signal and how clear the voicing is.

Is the Fusic expandble? Is so, by how much?

Sprint is taking pointers from VZW

http://www.pcsintel.com/content/view/1573/9/ »

Back in october of 05 vzw started a .40 admin fee which enabled customers to cancel w/o etf when we realized this was causing churn we decided to give customers who called to cancel a credit of 24 months X .40 .....a whole wopping 9.60 a customer.....kudos to sprint for responding to this churn issue.....its sites like these and pcs intel and engadget that so many of us frequent and we all know how word of mouth travels quickly so again kudos for the quick action from sprint......

Samsung SPH-A960

Can someone fill me in why this phone is so hard to find and/or why it is kind of like a decent phone but being ignored?

I feel like I am clueless when reading up on it and think I am missing something? Only available at non-sprint locations.. Very few reviews, etc.. Is there something wrong with the phone?

I need a phone that can do analog and digital and also bluetooth - this seems to fit the bill.. but then I see the limited input and think Hm.. hmm... what do these people know that I don't!!! ☚ī¸

Thanks..

NEXTEL18 PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR FEEDBACK

Mr Seybold, an earlier answer you posted seems quite negative on WiMax. With all the investment behind it from Intel, Samsung, Sprint, Motorola etc... what are your expectations for WiMax. Thanks

Andy Seybold: Roy, I am not "negative" on WiMAX it is just not the jump in technology that the companies trying to promote it pretend that it is. It is comparabile with today's fully mobile EV-DO and UMTS systems when it is compared on a like for like spectrum basis. There is a place for WiMAX but it is NOT a 4G or existing Wireless killer, it is another wireless technology that has a place in the world, again, I keep saying, voice pays the bills in wireless, voice pays the bills, data is more expensive to deliver and remember that a full...

Anyone able to receive emails in Canada (Toronto?) on Sprint using the 8703e? Sprint claims it won't work in Canada (even though other BBs do).

Any foreknowledge on USB Data Connection Card?? We had planogram stuff for it!

We got the sheets for the planogram for the USB Data Connection Cards, plus for the Hybrid Nextel phone and have yet to get either of these. Does anyone know when these devices are coming out to the stores?? Esp. the USB Data Cards.

Thanks in advance.

Funny Sprint Stories...

in light of the recent heated debates that have taken place on this forum, i through it would be nice to start a happier thread. ive been with the company for 2+ years, and have amassed alot of humerous anticdotes in that time. im sure you all have too.
post them here, and let us all relax and laugh.

MMS messaging on Sprint??

I just switched from verizon to sprint and i am a HUGE texter...have the smallest voice plan and unlimited texts, if that gives you a clue...and you are only able to send 160 characters on sprint's network and no animations or anything like you could on verizon's network...didn't know that this was carrier based...does anyone know why this is??
