Sprint vs Whoever

Hey
If you have or are getting a cellular provider please do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from Sprint true they do have cool phones but if you are having to continually call customer service every month and get a credit on your bill (which by the way will confuse the hell out of you) because you NEVER know what you are paying for. their upgrade policy is a joke customer service center is in the middle of the Philippines somewhere with folks who do not speak English you can't understand a word they say to you except "i will credit your bill" and if you have to take your phone to a direct store good luck. You will in some "bizarro" world where they will try to help you but not really.I got so damn frustrated I just paid the early terminati...

Accessory Question

Does anybody know if Sprint will be coming out with a leather case for the Sanyo 9000? I know they discontinued the phone, so I'd like to know if they plan on producing a case.

Which is better in Minneapolis?

Which carrier is better and has more service in Minneapolis/St. Paul? Verizon or Sprint. I live in a rural area and i think Verizon works better, because my friend can use his Verizon phone @ my house. But my other friend with Sprint it doesn't work should they have roaming agreements. I do live in a rural area, maybe thats why. Thanks

IDENTITY THEFT SCAM ALERT; READ THIS PLEASE

Dear all:

A friend of mine recently recieved a call on his T-Mobile phone from someone claiming to be from T-Mobile. My friend posted what happened on his livejournal:

"I just got a call on my cell phone from somebody claiming to be from T-Mobile and claiming to offer me a rebate. Being the suspicious person that I am, I noticed that something didn't sound quite right about the situation. He asked for my name and social security #, which I did not give. I pressed the caller for information (ie his supervisor's name, and how he had my address), and he hung up, knowing that the scam was up.

So if you're a wireless customer and get a call from an unidentified number from somebody claiming to be from T-Mobile, hang up on them, or bette...

Current customer: Can I try new phone w/o extending contract?

I'm a long-time Sprint customer; my current contract is just ending. For some time now, I've been increasingly dissatisfied with my Sprint service. I'm wondering, however, if some of that may be due to my phone--a Samsung VGA 1000 that's had a number of glitches. (The most common phone problem is that the phone constantly switches back and forth between a full Sprint signal and analog roaming mode, even if I'm in a strong-signal area and not moving. No one from Sprint has ever lifted a finger to help solve the problem or replace my phone.)

What I want to do is to pick up a new A900 phone (as I also need something very thin). I'm entitled to a discount price on the phone when I renew. If the phone doesn't solve the problem, though, I don't...

Sprint - Deception to Increase Revenue

I posted this a month ago.

I also am unsure why the game shows a "Expiration" of one month after the time I purchased it. The game does not have a monthly subscription fee, so why does it expire and what does this mean?

Does this mean that I will have to download it again in a month and if so why? I want to cancel my Vision Plus pack before the free month expires and it appears that once the game expires I will have to download it again.

I am not interested in keeping the Vision Pack or service if I am continually having to download items that I have already downloaded for no other reason then to download them again and increase revenue for Sprint.

Turns out I was right. The game "expires" after one ...

Warranty Issues

Hi all, I've worked in a retail location selling sprint for about 4 years now and every time we had a custumer who had a phone more than 14 days we've sent them to a service center to fix a phone.Up until recently there were no problems(provided there was no physycal damage)then, recently every custumer that was sent there was told that unless they had ERP they would not be helped. They were told to contact the manufacturer.Of course those people came back to the store, and then...... well, anybody who works in the wireless industry knows this story.

Now, my main question is did anybody hear about this issue? From what i was able to find out, the policy changed recently and that warranty period became 30 days instead of 1 year. Anybody kno...

Which carrier is best?

I'm currently with Verizon, but am sick of them on many levels. However, I've heard that they are the best for plans and coverage and call quality. I would like any feedback any of you who are knowledgeable and familiar w/ both Sprint and VZW to provide any feedback you may have.

Thanks!!

if you own/know anything about the ppc-6700, please read :)

so...i've had sprint for a while now, and im stuck with the old mm-a700. im looking at getting either a new power vision phone, or the ppc-6700. i really would like a power vision phone because i have a dealer line through sprint, and i have a $50 credit every month for downloads and what-not, that i can use towards the sprint music store downloads.

now, this may sound like kind of a weird deciding factor, seeings how the 6700 has so many advantages over pretty much any power vision phone, but does anyone know if the 6700 posesses the capabilites to use the sprint music store? all of the sprint reps i talk to on the phone and in the corporate stores (i am an authorized dealer) are pretty much in the dark..and i can understand because ...

Moto Q on CDMA

Looks like the rumors of the Q being cancelled for GSM were potentially bogus. It now looks like Moto is planning on releasing to CDMA first (Verizon for sure).

http://gearlog.com/blogs/gearlog/archive/2006/01/20/ ... » ...

What do you think Sprint will do. Now that the Nextel merger has been done, and the rumors of Sprint and Motorola renewing hardware interests, is the Q a part of the near future for Sprint/Nextel on their CDMA network?

Odd things with PCS Email

Hello, I am a Sprint user and have a couple of questions about my PCS email. I hope to avoid a call to the customer support if I can.

1) How is it possible I received an email a day in advance from when it says it was delivered?
Recently, I had checked my email from the website and there was a email that had listed as the day of arrival the next day, which is not possible.

2) I keep receiving random junk emails that contain content that makes absolutely no sense. The messages are often 10k+ in size and seem to contain no content to warrant that size and contain no attachments.

I have observed that when I open them, they take much longer then other messages to open but appear no different.

Also I have observed that when I...

Loophole for getting out of contract?!?!

What's to stop you from intra-company porting over to Sprint from Nextel of vice versa and then cancelling the new service within the 14-day trial??

Thinking of switching to sprint from T-mobile

Good evening, I'm in the Nashville, TN area, and am considering switching from T-mobile to sprint, and I wanted to get some feed back on the quality of service. (Both, the actual wireless service, and the customer service)

Also, can any one speak to the amount of fees that they see on their bill? I know many of the companies out there tend to nickel and dime you on the 'regulatory fees' and recovery charges and what not. I'm not exactly sure on the motive for these, and why they don't just end up on the rate plan to begin with. (but I digress...) The txt and data plans get you too on the family plans, because each line gets charged again, and it can add up pretty quick.

Also, how does the roaming work out when you step off the inters...
