Trying to get a new phone

Hi all, Well, I called Sprint customer service to see about changing to the fair/flex plan, I also was going to get the Samsung PM-A840. She said I had the $150.00 credit towards new phone. BUT its only good in the sprint store. So..I went to the sprint store, and they said they don't have that phone yet, I'd have to get from sprint customer service, he said they should be able to do that all over the phone, whether they give me 150.00 off at the store or customer service shouldn't matter. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙂

Cingular expelled from BBB

Cingular expelled from BBB for too many complaints
By Heather Forsgren Weaver
Sep 12, 2005

WASHINGTON-Cingular Wireless L.L.C. has been expelled from the Better Business Bureau of Upstate New York, according to a report in a Rochester, N.Y., newspaper. The nation's largest wireless carrier acknowledged the situation.

"We take all customer complaints very seriously, and we're working diligently to address the concerns brought to our attention by the BBB of Upstate NY. We want to set this right," said Rochelle Cohen, Cingular spokeswoman. "We will be meeting with BBB representatives today to address any outstanding issues they may have, and we will apply for reinstatement as soon as possible. It's very important for us to be a member i...

5600 hinge or 8200/8300/200/2300 hinge?

My opinion is that the 5600 style hinge is tougher and less likely to break than the 8200/8300/2300/200 hinge, mainly because of the thin plastic on the corners. Ive seen WAAAAY more of all 4 of these broken, but, of course, the 5600 isnt a great seller. What do you all think?

Phone Prices have changed over the weekend

😡
Sprint has increased the cost of the Trio by $50 and now offers an additional $50 ($200 total) off for new plans. I guess this gives them a way of saying we'll give you more off a higher end phone that the normal $150 they offer for standard phones. It's all a numbers game.

So basically they are screwing the existing customers who can only buy the phone in a Sprint store and only gets $150 rebate after 2 years. So much for customer loyalty rewards.

BTW - They have also removed any other palm/PDA phones for Sprint Service.

Why should I stay with Sprint?

Buyout Regulations

There was a locally owned carrier in my hometown that was recently bought out by AllTel. AllTel informed people with this company that they had til 12-11-05 to (1) sign new alltel contracts and buy new phones or (2)port out their number to another carrier to avoid 200.00 deact fee. However, at least one corporate account tells me that their contracts were honored. NOW, my question is, wouldn't that be illegal or something? Dont see how AllTel can treat customers different in this way. What I feel possibly happened was the rep who handled the switchover with this particular acct. possibly didnt let them know of ALL of the changes, maybe including plan pricing. This is a large plan (227 phone lines to be exact). The rep could have shaped up hi...

Congratulations Sprint Users

I must say, Sprint Reps and the users on this forum are really cool. I enjoy reading the threads, even tho i have cingular. Its cool to hear the news from your network and i don't have to skip every other thread cuz its a bash on cingular, tmobile, etc. Quite a lot better than Verizon's. Just check it out. Anyway, thanks again for being cool like that.
