Is this normal?

So, I went into a RadioShack on 10-13-05 to sign up for a 2 year Sprint Contract. For those that are curious, I got the Sanyo MM-8300. My plan is the 400 min F&F for $35/month, PCS2PCS for $5/month, Nights starting @ 7 for $5/month. He also said I had one month free of the Ultimate Vision, and after a month, it'd be $15/month. Also free for a month was unlimited text messages, and would go up to $15/month.

Some other things he said:

In the future, when Sprint bought Nextel Partners, I'd be able to use their towers.

Sometimes the phones ordered online from sprint.com were used or refurbished phones, not necessarily new. This was his answer when I asked why this phone was $100 at the store and $50 online.

When I came home t...

New Position

Hi everyone. I have been with Sprint for 4 years now as an Indirect Account Executive. I will be changing in a few weeks to a retail store as a Senior Customer Service Rep. Anyone have any advice or something of that nature that may be helpful with the transition?

Thanks in advance...

Anyone seen pics of the Samsung A960?

Has anyone seen or have pics of the A960. From what I read, its supposed to "combine the advantages of the A940 (EV-DO and Bluetooth) with the 2 Megapixel camera quality of the Samsung MM-A800." Just wondering if anyone has anymore info on it.

What's the pro and con of Sprint?

I can't think of any point why people want to sign up for Sprint service.
For reliable service I will go to Verzion.
For good look phone I will choose GSM.
For world travel, I choose GSM again.
For good customer service, T-Mobile is much better.
Please tell me why people choose Sprint? What is the selling point?

Bluetooth and a cute phone? Where are you?

My girl and I have Verizon and we are getting out of our contract if.....I can find a cute phone for her with bluetooth.

I used to be with Sprint prior and want them again so I can use unlimited vision with a treo 650. But she always liked cute phones and I introduced her to bluetooth in her car so its a must. I checked out the phones but they all are ugly as hell. I can't find any phones with bluetooth besides the pda phones. Any ideas?????

Help Please

I am currently with T-Mobile, and I can't stand their weak signal even in my own house. I live in Jefferson Parish(outside of New Orleans) and trying to reach people with T-Mobile was horrible cuz i couldnt keep a call without it dropping during the aftermath of the hurricane. Everything is open now so I'm sure i could easily switch. All my friends have Sprint but I was also considering Alltel. I would say I use about 800-1000 minutes a month. What do you think??

Sprint Nextel Merger

People, People let's look at this for a second...... The main reason Sprint bought Nextel is for BUSINESS!!!!!! Step out of your boxes for a second and let it marinate. What well off business do you go to where you don't hear "chirp get these supplies" "chirp are you close to the office" Sprint's business SUCKED!!!!!!! they couldn't give it away. Are they going to combine CDMA and IDEN not likely! If so it's gonna take an a$$load of time and money. They have both don't get me wrong but to sacrifice one for the other not happenin'! Oh one other thing.... if you have seen any new comm. they are giving the BUSINESS free incomming calls not consumer. HMM.............sounds funny to me. But I'm just an outside thinker.

Samsung PM A840

Well, I posted earlier I was going to change to the Samsung PM A840, well I had to return it.. I went back to my Sanyo 8100, the 8100 I had will do circles around the Samsung. ONe thing is, the Samsung has an internal antenna, so my signal was half of what my 8100 was, which went in places where my Sanyo had 2 bars, the Samsung was dead ☚ī¸ Oh well, I tried 🙂

Phones???

Hey Sprint! Where are the phones? I'm really considering leaving Cingular and moving to Sprint due to bad service in my area, but the phones stink! I thought about the MM-7400, it's discontinuted. Then looking through Sanyo's site, I really started to like the MM-5600. Discontinued also! I kind of like the MM-A880, but when I saw it in person, it's pink and purlple! What gives?

Oh well, I'll give it a few more weeks. I do have to have a phone I'll like since I'll pretty much be stuck with it for the next 2 years. I've liked my V400 and I'd hate to give it up for some dopey phone from Cingular.

Does anyone have any sugestions or anything I should stay away from? I really don't need any of the multimedia stuff, but would like a...

Class Action Suit Filed Against Sprint Nextel

Class Action Suit Filed Against Sprint Nextel

Today, 1:48 PM source: RCR News

A Texas law firm today filed a class action suit against Sprint Nextel. The suit alleges that Sprint Nextel illegally placed their antennas on electrical towers without permission. Sprint received permission from the electric company, however according to the lawfirm, the easement given to the electric company by landowners to install towers on their land only covers electrical transmission, not other types. The suit claims that if this was the case, rights to install cellular antenna were not the electrical company's to give. The suit has been filed in Kansas, where Sprint Nextel is headquartered. No date for trial has been set yet.

Walkie Talkie Question

What's up with the walkie talkie feature that both sprint and nextel have? Can they communicate with each other yet or is that a feature that will take a couple of years to get done?
