sprint gps application?

my sprint rep came in the other day with a GPS navigation program on his RL-7400...

for the life of me i cant remember what the name of the program was or if my phone supports it, but i was wondering if any of you knew.

i have the samsung MM-A700...and i know this program starts with a "g" or something. i also know that its supported (obviously) by the RL-7400, and the 8300 for sure, but i forget the other phones that support it. any help is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks.

sanyo 4500 why so many problems

I went to the sprint store to have my 4500 checked for redialing and poor reception issues, they told me that indeed they found a problem and I would get one straight from the manufaturer on saturday since it is still under warranty. My problem is that this will be my fourth 4500 with the same problems, once replaced by lockline and twice under warranty. Now I dont want to scam sprint I just want a reliable phone, so anybody in this forum know what I can do to maybe get sprint to give me a diffrent model, I would even take a downgrade as long as the reception is good. I mean isnt a cell phones primary function to talk. anyway any help would be appreciated.

forums organization ?'s

cingular has a pre-paid service
t-mobile has a pre-paid service
sprint has a pre-paid service called Virgin
nextel has a pre-paid service called Boost

cingy's and t-mo's pre-paid forums are included in their respective contract-paid (post-paid) forums...

why isn't either virgin's and boost's forums included in sprint or sprextel, or why is'nt cingy's and t-mo's forums seperated from their parent's? does it have something to do with CDMA vs. GSM, or what?

Sprint/Nextel Mobile 2 Mobile

I just had a customer bring to my attention that in the Sprint literature where it describes the Mobile to Mobile feature, that it says all Sprint PCS subscribers and MOST Nextel subscribers. She wanted to be able to call her husband w/ nextel for free so I called customer care for her. It kinda sounded like the lady I talked to just made up an answer, because she hesitated then said something like "um, thats because not all nextel subscribers will work with that feature" ...well duh, lady. thats why i'm calling...who is and who isnt considered mobile to mobile?
she goes on to tell me that it's dependent on the MODEL of Nextel phone that determines whether they're eligible for M2M or not, but 90% of them are included in M2M. This sounde...

Can IDEN phones roam on Sprint's PCS network?

I recently heard rumor from a local dealer in TN that soon IDEN phones will be able to roam freely on Sprint's network. I am just curious if this is true?

Is there any way to...

Is there any way to look up the ESN HEX using the DEC #? I need to get the hex number for a phone that was activated a few days ago. Our inventory only goes by DEC, the contract only lists the DEC, and I even tried calling the customer to get the last 4 of her social so I could call cust. care, but some man who didn't speak English picked up the phone and didn't know what the f**k I was talking about. Is there any way that I can get this HEX number via some online system, or perhaps maybe one of you nice CS reps can do it for me if I provide the account info and DEC

I know its a stretch, but it's worth a shot

other Options?

i want to get a new phone (and my carrier is sprint) but i wanted to know will sprint work with/ be able to activate, any other phones besides the ones they have currently on their site or that they have had in the past, i guess what i mean to say is i want a new phone but none of the ones that sprint offers directly, so are there other phones out there that sprint doesn't sell, but work with the sprint network.

convert a sprint contract to nextel?

okay, i want a new phone...

i have an old a620 and i don't like any of the phones sprint has...the a840 is nice but it doesn't have a color ext screen...the a880 does, but lacks speakerphone...

just for the heck of it i looked at the nextel phones and saw that the i860 has everything that i want with a videocamera to boot, but...

does any1 know if i can get that phone to work on my sprint (now "Sprint, Together With Nextel") account? i guess i would have to get my sprint number ported over to a nextel account, but is there any other issue i should consider?

just wanted to see if anyone had any advice for me before i call cust care

Internal Phone Numbers

Hi everyone. New to the forum, and this is my first post.

I was wondering if anyone has any internal customer care numbers that bypass the automated systems? I work for a Sprint retailer, and the 3rd Party Hotline is great, but it takes a while during peak times to get anyone. I remember the old 877-349-4413 number, but it seems to be slowing down now..

Any advice? Thanks in advance!

Did it ever make you wonder?

WHY does Sprint have analog roaming protection built into all its phones? I had Sprint awhile back, and no disrespect it did suck.... coverage, cust svc.... you name it! I analoged roamed everywhere I went... just makes you wonder huh? P.S. No one use the all digital models as an excuse, because your the ones if ever traveling will really be screwed!!!!!!! It's all love though 😁

Forsee's Sprint Nextel: Merger Sweeter Than Hoped

http://www.forbes.com/2005/09/22/sprint-forsee-merge ... »

some snipits:

"Led by Chairman and Chief Executive Gary D. Forsee, Sprint Nextel (nyse: S - news - people ) officials had in December called for savings of $12 billion over the next four years. But Santa came again in September, and the telecom firm now augurs savings of $14.5 billion. The figure includes taxes and some $1 billion in integration costs.

Forsee's firm also said it is increasing its investment in its wireless system, pumping $5.6 billion this year into equipment and system upgrades; $900 million will be infused into efforts to re-brand the network the hybrid gained from Nextel. In 2006, the company will spend $6 billion on equipment ...

Nokia 6016i: No Voice Tags Saved. Why??????

My first post here. Please kindly help me out.
I have a 6016i. Last week got a generic headset (wired, not BT), the most simple type you can find. It's been working OK. But today things started to go strange. I can only hear people talk to me and they can't hear me talk. Also, when I plug the headset in, the phone gives me the "No voice tags saved" message. Anybody has any idea what went wrong? Does this mean the headset is broken?
Many thanks!
