Which phone?

My mom kicked me off of her account, and I have had time to build my credit by getting Credit cards and keeping them paid up. I know I want to come to Sprint but I am stuck between 2 phones. The Nextel Motorola I870 and the Sprint Sanyo 9000. I want to know which one do you guys think I should get.

I am looking for a dependable, durable phone, that has cool features. I am more into coolness than anything. I want the MP3 player and stuff.

The only thing that really tears me apart as of now is the fact the Sprint phones has the TV and Nextel phones doesn't.

What do you guys think??

Should I Switch To Sprint?

I'm with Cingular right now, and it's okay. I live in Minnesota. And i kinda live in the country, where I get little to no service. And the whole network at Cingular is messed up, 3G, PTT etc. I was just wondering do you get good service execially in the country with Sprint. Because I know that Sprint goes on CDMA technology and Cingular goes on GSM. And I don't travel much, just from Minnesota and to Wisconsin. So just give me your opionion about Sprint's service in Minnesota. Plus cingular's data plans SUCK!! I think Sprint's 3G is faster and cheaper. And with Cingular you can't even get unlimited text. The only reason i went with it is because of rollover, and i don't even use one minutes of it.

A basic clam shell Bluetooth phone?

Does anyone know if Sprint will produce a basic phone with Bluetooth? I think there is a need for those of us who use the phone more as a phone and less for multimedia and would like Bluetooth for the car. I heard the A920 by samsung might have this???

Choose Sprint?

I'm looking for a Family Plan, Two Treo 650's with the $10 vision plan.
Questions that the rep could not answer (I think they were new).

1. If you are roaming, does your internet still work?
2. Is the Vision internet really the internet, or a version of T-Zones?
3. Does their 650 have the same problems as Cingulars?
4. Why is their data plan $10 and everyone else charges $45?

It seems too good to be true. I hear bad stories about their coverage.

Sprint: No coverage, bad Customer service
T-Mo: No PDA's, worse customer service
Cingular: $45 data plan, stingy on the minutes.
Verizon: Mercedes Benz? I giess you get what you pay for. I don't have the $ for these guys.

Compared to the AT&T news...

If you go to the Sprint website or any store selling Sprint & Nextel service, you see multiple price plan brochures and you see essentially both services are completely separate (I mean, for obvious reasons). Does anybody see the odds of them completely eliminating (phase out) the Nextel name?

ie: we all know dual-band iDEN/CDMA phones are coming out. Sprint offers ReadyLink as their PTT solution. Do you think when all is said and done, the only remnants of Nextel would be: Sprint w/ Nextel Direct Connect service???

Farwell T-Mobile

Farwell T-Mobile

After years of “thinking about it”, I finally made the switch to Sprint today. Just took my 6700 off charge and was just thinking about all the calls into T-Mobile over the last year.

Q (November 2004): Are you going to get the Treo 650?
A (Representative): Yes, very soon. I think in a few weeks.

One year later.

Q: Do you have ANY PDA’s?
A: You mean a Blackberry?

Get serious. I feel like a ton of bricks has been lifted off my shoulders. Funny, I was never able to get over one bar at my home. I have “full” bars right now with this new service.

I hope this doesn’t sound like a total T-Mobile slam because they were OK for a few years. They just went down hill over the last year. I had to bail. Good luc...

The phone calls have started!

Anybody else getting pitched by Sprint-Nextel telemarketers on their cellphones?

Yesterday, a very nice lady from Nextel cutomer service called (unfortunately busy so I had to say call back later which she didn't) saying that they've noticed in the past five or so billing periods my DC usage has dropped to almost nothing. I explained I haven't really had a need for DC (just between my wife and I) because of what I'm doing now. The company provides me with a Nextel... But, couldn't talk so I was curious to find out what she could offer...

Today, phone call, couldn't answer it but the message was from Sprint this time saying sorry we missed you and will try again later. the message also said something about discounts on this & tha...
