Kudos to Web Chat Customer Care

Okay, so I've been a Sprint customer for years and years. Customer Service has always been low, but I've enjoyed the phones and the service works well for me.

I have to say that I just had a really positive experience with the Web Chat Customer Care. It took all of ten seconds to get connected with a representative, and he offered me a viable solution to my problem of going over my minutes. (I love my plan and didn't want to change, but was going to go over this month due to using much more than normal. He offered me the ability to purchase some emergency overage minutes that ended up saving me $100 in overage charges!) And here is the kicker...He actually correctly put everything on my account, the FIRST TIME.

Also, when you do a...

WTF Sprint

What is with sprint requiring some phones to have the simply everything plans. I would think that they would sell more phones is they allowed the customers to chose the plans with the data included. Or maybe allow the current customers to upgrade without going to the simply everything plan or everything data plans as long as they currently have a data plan as an add on. It would make sense but then why would any phone company want to make sense to their customers. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

Datacard/12mo contract?

Got my own datacard and wanted to sign a 12 month contract. Went to the local Sprint store and they said no, only 2 year contracts, whether you have your own gear or not. ๐Ÿ˜ก

You've got to be kidding me, Sprint doesn't want my business, even for a year? ๐Ÿคจ

Best Buy Will Make Purchasing the HTC Hero Easier than Sprint Does

The HTC Hero will be is Sprint stores on October 11. Best Buy will begin offering this device on that same day, but this retailer will save its customers some hassle.

Whether this Android-based smartphone is purchased directly through Sprint or at a Best Buy store, the cost will be the same: $180. But to get this price, Sprint stores will require consumers to fill out and send in a $100 rebate form. Those who get a Hero through Best Buy won't have to go through this step.

To get this price, it will be necessary to sign up for a two-year Sprint contract, no matter where the smartphone is purchased.

This is not an unusual occurrence. When Sprint introduced the Palm Pre this summer, the carrier required a mail-in rebate t

SERO Plan Phone Upgrade Questions

I have a phone on a SERO account that is due for an upgrade. I have a couple of questions though. Is it true that you can not have an Instinct S30 on a SERO line? If so, are there any other phones that have that restriction? Lastly, can a corporate Sprint store perform an upgrade on a SERO line, or do I have to call telesales? I seem to remember that we could not when I worked for Sprint.
Thanks for the help,
JM

Windows Mobile MIFI Questions

I downloaded the trial version for my Plam Pro and I must say this is the cooloest software! I do have a couple of questions tho. If I buy the software, am I paying for the license only for my current device or can I use it on my next Windows Mobile device? Is this software going to be compatible with Windows 7 as I am looking at a new computer soon. Is Sprint going to terminate my service for using this software or am I relatively safe? Thanks for the help!!

Need some help choosing a new phone please. Also another question

Okay peeps, I'm looking to get a new phone, and soon, but I need some advice on what I SHOULD get, not just what is cool. So I'll qualify my situation for you guys and then you can give me any and all advice that you can/are willing to give.

First off, I live in an older building, and I have found that for some reason at times my older Sanyo 8300 gets better signal in my apt than does my current phone, a Samsung M520, at times I have to go outside in order to make/answer phone calls, and that is with whatever phone I have.

Also, I have a very sweet plan from my time working for Sprint, and I've made it kinda clear that I'm not giving it up, and Sprint has told me that I don't have to in order to get my upgrade, which is fine by me. It ...

What is going to be Sprint's roaming network once they go to WIMAX? Are they going to have a LTE/WIMAX combo device, or are they planning on having true nationwide WIMAX coverage? Trolls need not apply. ๐Ÿ˜

Nextel Phone Network Cheat??!?

Alright so I work in a corporate nextel only store and I had a customer come in and say that he went someplace and they switched his iden device to sprint cdma - not possible right? His phone still shows up in the system as iden. He can now get service though where nextel has no service (michigan upper peninsula). He also said that he has a buddy that when he gets to the U.P. dials a sprint number into his phone and it then has service but can not direct connect.

So is there any truth or trick to this? I sell iden phones, they don't roam, they get service where they get it - can't use others towers. I know all of this. Our technician says there is no way to trick the system to use cdma towers.

So does anyone have any guess as to w...

Tell me about this $50 unlimited everything plan

I lose custies to it and then I gain them back because of poor coverage with sprint. What is the low down, the down low with this plan. Pre-paid right? Activation? What else?
