Hey guys and gals. I'm new to Sprint and Phonescoop but i've been in the wireless industry with another carrier for 4 years prior to sprint.

I need to know if an exception of sorts can be made for an upgrade policy.

When I start my 3rd party employee plan thru Sprint I did not purchase a phone as an upgrade. I was using a third line a friend had on his share plan and purchased a phone on ebay to swap out.

When I start the employee line I kept the phone and number but a Name Change/Change of Liability/Billing Responsible party change did not take place. They simply disconnected the number on the old account and opened it under my name and new account.

Do you think it's possible for me to get a discounted upgrade now since I did no...

So I just yesterday finally changed my acct to EDRP, and I have no idea if I could bill equip to my account before, so what I'm wondering is do all EDRP lines automatically get to bill to account? I'm sure I'll wait for the Touch Pro anyway, but I dont want to have to call to find out.

What can I say this phone fails in every aspect compared to a Nextel phone. The Renegade is a good phone in the sense of it has excellent call quality and multimedia, but here is where it fails miserably and sprint needs to throw in the towel on qchat.

My treo fell a few days ago and the display screen is damaged. I have insurance. How much will it cost to replace? How about changing phones? I'm about a year into my two year plan. BTW, the phone still works...just annoying looking at a cracked screen. Thanks.

so i called sprint to find out why i no longer had access to call tones when i upgraded to my HTC Touch. they tried to tell me that it was a compatibility issue, which i said was nonsense...after two calls, i decided to send emails...back and forth and back and forth, up the chain the emails went. i finally got to the point where i was just going on and on about how ****ty it is that they chose not to allow access to call tones and that it was and could not be a compatibility issue...

well i get on sprint today and voila! now they have call tone access! i like to think it was just me bitching but im sure i wasnt the only one....

its so trivial but it definately makes a difference to me. 😁

Is sprint a good carrier to work for?

So i have been with sprint now for about 2 years, and while I have noticed sprint is not perfect, they are still pretty darn good. I have jumped ship a couple of times to att with the iPhone edge, and while the iphone was really nice, I felt like maybe is was a little over hyped. Now I will admit, I am an Apple Fan. I think the iPhone is a great product, but just not for me.

The service at ATT was not bad, but still not perfect. I still some areas where the signal was really bad and i would drop calls all the time. But again, same with sprint, There are certain areas too where i drop calls as well. I really didn't like ATT as much as sprint, so I canceled with in my 30 days and all is well. Stayed With sprint. why hasn't sprint made a international dc soc for the dcs phones? i have many customers calling bc they get these new phones thinking that the inter dc soc will carry over. im sure glad that we are coming out with new iden phones!!!

Hey Guys, I used to work for sprint and i remember that all billing to account was credit based.
I have very high credit and the corporate store and online store will allow me to bill anything i want to my account... Right now i am trying to preorder the diamond(which the are letting me do) but they are telling me that i need to have my account for at least 12 months(i transferred my employee account to the new premier plan around 2 months ago) before they can allow me to Bill anything to my account.

Any thoughts? Is this the new policy?

Also now i am being told by customer care that i have to wait at least 3 months?
Anyone know the truth?

I'm planning to get a new phone for my son for his 14th birthday and was just wondering which of the newer phones might be a good choice for him. He really doesn't make that many calls....he mainly uses it for texting and taking pictures (although he usually doesn't do anything with the pictures -- just shows them to ppl on his phone). Long battery life is probably a priority, as he has difficulty remembering to charge it. (Is there one that emits an annoying tone when the battery gets low, lol?)

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

My husband has a blackberry curve with service from Sprint. I have verizon. He has not been able to receive text messages from anyone one outside of the Sprint/Nextel network. He has contacted Sprint several times and they blame me and my phone. My phone and service is fine. They are not helping at all. They just have him take his battery out and put it back in again. Then he was told it was a blackberry outtage (i have a blackberry too). Does anyone have any thoughts? He's going crazy and Sprint is not helping.
