Lets say I have a cdma carrier like sprint or VZW or us cell in the chicago area. now I go roam(travel) arent I mostly going to be using someone else's tower so now it really comes down to phone selection and pricing...

does uscc have a max deposit? i have really really bad credit right now...

Does anyone have any information on US Cellular's legacy networks such as when they will be shutting them off? The best info I can find states that it will be late 2008.

Also, does US Cellular have both an AMPS and a D-AMPS (TDMA) network?

I just purchased the pearl. I am trying to transfer my info from my krzr to the pearl. Using bluetooth, both will connect however when copying a photo to my pearl, my krzr has a message pop up that says Blackberry 8130 not supported. Any ideas, how to transfer or why it would say this? I purchased my ROKR back in September '07 when they first came out and I am having several issues with it. The phone randomly shuts off by itself. It won't send text msgs until I shut it off and sometimes that won't work, I will have to do a *228 update to get the texts to send. Also it will say unable to charge while plugged in. Just wondered if anyone else had any issues or they were just me!

I wanted to know how much a ROKR would be after my 2-year contact is up. Its up in June, and my RAZR's already crapping out. ☹️

Is there a reason why U S Cellular doesn't get contract on phones that have a a bigger qwert keyboard. While the Motorola Q and the Blackberry phones were a coop for them to offer, It would be nice if they offer something similar to T-Mobiles sidekick or Sprints rumor or any of the other phones that has a full qwert keyboard with bigger buttons. I really think that if they had one of these phones, that it would sale even if you by the phone without a contract.

Every once in awhile I see someone post on here saying they work for USC and they are giving info on phones not currently in stock. You know this is wrong. We are never to give info on phones in testing or about to launch. Anything can happen that causes them to change their minds about launching a phone or changing something. When you give out info you risk being totally wrong. The thing is you know this. If you really are a USC employee remember our values and behaviors.

....or at least part of them. I would guess that the "investment group" will be liquidating Alltel at some point. If uscc doesn't do something "big" soon, they will be gobbled up by one of The Bigs. It's a simple numbers thing.

Hey all . on Jan 1 I bought an iphone and ported to ATT from USC and holy crap what a difference. The phone is wonderful and I will miss the tech but the service with AT&T is awful. They charge for incoming texts...Ive never even heard of that being a previous customer of USC for 5 years. So... now it looks like I may have to pay an ETF just to come back..luckily I should be able to sell the iphone for a good sum.

I switched to Sprint in Nov and have had more dropped calls in the last 3 months than I had in 3 years with uscc. I switched due to a future move. 😢

I saw that US Cellular is currently testing a number of new phones. Here is the list, the first two I know what they are but has anyone seen any of the others?

I just got the pricing for the Pearl thats due out next week. We are looking at $249 with a 2 year contract with a $100 mail in rebate. I beleive that it will be $499 full retail. If you have heard anything diffrent please let me know

I posted the below rant in the USC SUX thread but wanted to give it it's own thread and chance to get response. What I notice most about the forum is that alot of the more tenured employees (or ex-employees like me) have a very negative view of USC (especially the call center reps). Why is this?
