Imagine, Alltel, which was just recently bought by a large private equity firm, acquires US Cellular and then Sprint.

With nationwide EVDO and WiMax, the Alltel/US Cellular/Sprint empire would be the only true competitor to Verizon's LTE roll-out, leaving AT&T in the dust.

I am currently on my 3rd motorola...first one speaker was going, freezing and powering off by itself. 2nd one went into flash mode and there was nothing to do but send it out. Now I'm on my 3rd and that one still freezes at times. The 2 battery thing isn't great either and the email not automatically being uploaded is a pain. Has anyone heard if motorola has stepped up their game on the new moto q the 2nd time a round to actually compete with blackberry

Does anyone know a tentative date on release and how much retail will be?

Anybody out there having issues with their LG rumor powering down in the middle of a text or phone call? This has happened to me a lot, about 3 times a day. Is this a software glitch or phone problem. I have until 4/11 to decide if I want to keep the phone and I think about taking it back.

if theres any new phones coming out soon [next few months] that can match or beat the specs of the ROKR. My RAZR has died, and I want to renew but not if something better will be coming soon.

Any realistic dates on this phone?

Well I heard today that by the end of the year we are going to have EVDO in some more markets. DesMoines, Tulsa, Chicago, NW IL, I think that there were a few other markets but not sure which ones. I know of these for sure.

Verizon has purchased unicel but not us cellular and I don't think that will ever happen. US Cellular has a good thing going on...great service, great plans. I don't think they'll be calling it quits anytime soon.

im not really sure if you guys can help me on this but i am able to upgrade my phone in about a month.. and i need some ideas about what phone to get. I have a razr right now

some things that i will need to have on my phone:

a music player, and a phone that will make texting easy..

i am a long time us cell cust. i am on the $69 all you call plan. now they have announced unlimited like the other carriers, i might stay because i do need the LD and roam. i have the krzr and love it however its going on the fritz and i am getting bored with it(so i bought a curve from tmo and pearl from sprint to test out). when will us cell step up to the plate and offer a better selection of phones? i know they talk about testing however i was in the cell industry for over 10 years and i know this is a marketing gimmic....i do love the us cell service it works almost everywhere in chicago(though i could use 3 way and better VM) however the tmo curve it getting very impressive reception

A very high up close friend of mine let me know that there are very serious talks going on concerning a buyout from VZW. It is very close to be announced.

so now that at&t and VZW and on thursday tmobile all have unlimited with long distance and roaming, when will us cell come out with it? i know they have unlimited local

U.S. cellular is getting some new phone not sure when they are coming out, but they will be getting the lg ux830(Glimmer), the htc ppc 6800(Mogul), the motorola Q9c, and Blackberry Curve 8330 i cant belive it i hope they come out b4 May. 😁 😁 😁 😲

keep seeing rumors about lg260 and the htc 6800 any real dates we may be looking forward to seeing these
