I am looking for a great phone for texting and that has a good, usable calender. Any suggestions? Thanks 😉

I'm self employed and primarily need a new PHONE - but also want the capability of checking email two or three times a day while I'm out of my office. I probably would not need to send many emails (that could wait till I'm home and on my computer) but I use email for my work and want the security of knowing I can check to make sure nothing urgent has come in that I need to get on immediately.

Are there any realistic choices (DARE maybe?) other than a smartphone like BlackBerry/Treo? If it's got to be a smartphone I might either jump to AT & T for a iPhone (even though it would cost me since I have everyone in the family on Verizon now) or possibly wait for the new Storm.

if anyone is curious there is now an update for the env2 that I know that many people were waiting for.

Update fixes key guard issues, allows access to visual voice mail, fixes bug with pictures and many more. Contact your local Verizon store to see if they have the update.

I now have some of the SPRINT apps on the VZW phone.. and they work. (TV, radio, NFL)

Will they continue to work once the SPRINT has been disconnected?

Are they dialing into the SPRINT Account??

Okay, I admit, I fell for the 3G iPhone hype and quickly realized that AT&T is FAR from where VZW is for call quality or data speed. Where I live has no 3G coverage, so I was suffering through EDGE, ya know, dial up for cell phones! 😛

Anyways, I ported from big blue over to Sprint, a carrier I have not used in a few years. I was hoping for an improvement. That did not happen. So, I called VZW Saturday afternoon and asked to be ported back. Their retention department assisted me very professionally.

I do not know if they visit here, but I would like to thank Elmi and Melissa in customer service, and Shermann in the tech department, for all of their assistance.

I'm torn between Sprint and VZW. Both offer BB curves but SPRINT offers more features for less $$. I also hear that when sprint can't hit their towers then just grab a VZW tower. SO wouldn't the coverage be just as good??

Does anyone know anything about this? I thought I heard that it was going to launch sometime this summer....I think it would be nice to have it in my house. I dont know if I want to drop 500 on a repeater system in my house....

Did any body see it? The episode was called lost Verizon and it was all about Bart getting a Verizon phone. The funny thing was that Marge was tracking Bart with the Chaperone feature. I can't escape work EVER! But it was a great example of how Chaperone works I wish I could use that episode to show customers how it works. Classic

I have info from a VZW Data Sales Consultant that VZW will make OS 4.5 available for the Pearl and Curve on Oct. 15.

I'm not sure if anything other updates will be included in the software package, but I think this is pretty good news.

Now we just need the Storm to get here!

I have had the BB Curve for a few months now, and up until Friday, everything was great. My phone worked during the day, but when I got home, my earpiece did not work. It will go online, send and receive text messages, but on a call, the other line can hear me but I can't hear them. I tried calling cell and land lines. I did a *228 programming and reset the phone, but the problem remains. I took it to the vzw store where I purchased it. They told me I have a bad receiver and the phone would have to be replaced. The problem is that they said they didn't have a phone to give me. I do a lot of traveling for my job, so having a working phone is important. I also use it for work purposes. They said they can get me a replacement phone by Wednesday...

Sooo, verizon was all about releasing these talking up a storm updates on the BB storm each weds and yesterday there were no leaks.

Did anyone get the email or see it?

Does anyone else have problems with txt messages? Like you don't get txts that people send you or people don't get your txts?!?! I was just wondering if I was the only one experiencing this or not.

I currently have AT&T, and I hate it, the coverage is spotty at best. I can be driving down the road and my phone will go in and out of service. So my question is, Is Verizon's coverage better?

My best friend has an EnV from Verizon and I have to use her phone all the time because mine doesn't have signal. So my question, is it just my area or does Verizon have a good coverage area?

I have also heard that Verizon is expensive, I really don't have that kind of money to spend 300 dollars a month on a phone bill, so is there a plan, that I can get that has Unlimited text to everyone on any carrier, thats in the price range, of $65-$80 a month? If anyone is familiar with Loopt you'll know its a really neat program. Its like a buddy finder using GPS and only certain phones can use it right now...but, the LG 8350 has a hard time working with this software. If you have the LG 8350 don't download this! In the past month I bricked 2 phones. Before Loopt my phone booted up just fine, after Loopt it lagged while booting up. In a matter of time it will crash while booting up. It will continue to try to boot up but never fully load. It won't stop til you take the battery out and even after that it will continuously recycle the boot process.
