New tower???

I'm hearing scattered reports from sources (random customers) that VZW has built a new tower in a neighboring town to where I live/work. This area has been a dead spot for service to all carriers until about 3-4 yrs ago when Cingular/ATT built a tower there. I am needing to find out if there is a way to find out online if the tower is in fact a VZ tower. The town is out of my way coming home, so I naturally don't get that way, and beings I'm basically working my store single handedly right now, I don't really get a break during the day to take a drive over there to find out for sure. I've called VZ regarding this, and they keep telling me no. I have had some customers report that their phones have been working a little better over ther...

Dear idiot customer

It is time for what should be a monthly wake up call.

1. Do not call into customer service to complain that some feature is not available. Guess what, no we're not going to call you to tell you you're going over your damn minutes. Check your minutes yourself. Take some responsibility. It will help you grow as a person. Maybe.

2. Do not even think to threaten us. There is nothing more fun than denying someone something because they threatened to do something else (ie. I'm going to cancel or I will tell your manager). You want that $5 late fee credited even though you don't pay your freaking bill on time? I dare you to say you'll cancel. We will let you know what your ETF is and then you can go pay late fees at some other carrier you d...

Question for the Uber Geeks

I am an indirect agent for VZW. I am getting more and more people coming in asking how they can keep people from reading their text messages online. They are hearing that it is possible and that their husband/wife/partner/whatever can do (or has been doing) this. I heave heard that you can, but it costs a couple hundred dollars.
My question: Is this even possible? I have been telling people not to worry that it's not possible. Am I misleading them? VZW claims it's not a possibility. Is there a site out there that these people are using? If so does anyone have any information on it?

Reverse Cell Phone Lookup Without Stress

Looks like it costs $4.95 to get your cell phone number out of the directory these days. I haven't had any problem, but this raises an interesting question.

http://www.losangeleschronicle.com/articles/58124 »

It should be stressed that these Reverse Cell Phone Lookup companies charge a fee for their Reverse Cell Phone Lookup service. In fact, it is almost impossible to find free Reverse Cell Phone Lookup services at this point in time. The reason the companies charge a fee is because they have to buy the information in their database from other sources, then they have to organize the information into some type of hierarchy in their database. You have to check if the Reverse Cell Phone Lookup companies charge a flat fee for unlimited sear...

EnV

Ok, so I have had the EnV phone since March '07. I am on my third replacement of this phone. Does this phone have a known issue of freezing up, and also powering down constantly when doing any type of internet app. IM, vcast, chat. It's really beginning to get on my nerves. I really like this phone in general for text purposes, but that alone is driving me nuts.

RELEASE A NEW PHONE VERIZON.........YOU BORING DINO

You would think Verizon would be the provider of the latest and greatest. Sprint releases phones like mad and I never read about phone problems. Verizons testing process is the biggest joke. Fire the loosers that test for you and get real testers! JEESH

Treo 700p users - meaty information

Okay so I do a lot of phone switching, and after trying the Treo 700wx for a good amount of time I can officially say its junk.

Sales people (me being a former one) please let customers know that a majority (a large majority) of programs will not work on the Treo 700wx. Reason being, look at an Ipaq or a PPC 6700, 6800. The first thing that will grab your eye is that larger screen. WELL GUESS WHAT! Most programs are written for that larger screen. Making the Treo 700w/wx useless. Or atleast hard to get software for.

But on to the bread and butter of this post:

I switched now to the Treo 700p and wow!!! The software support is phenomonal.

My personal must have list:

HandZipper: unzip files on your pda direct from the browser

Verizon Chat

Reviewing the past "Idiot customer" post was not only correct but typical in any customer care field. First, he deserves to work where he wants to work. He stil assists the customer the best way that he can but vents on an appropriate site about phones. If a customer can not take a good laugh then maybe they should reconsider taking the responsability of becoming the owner of a cell phone. It may be doing everyone a favor when it comes to not being able to read a web site or their bill. I am a chat rep, and we do our best but arn't given all the tools to help customers. All it takes is reading to get customers through the site but no matter what they don't like to. It just falls on Customers are nothing but lazy, greedy, and lack common s...

phone with best reception?

i'm about ready upgrade soon and am hoping to get some opinions on phone's with good reception. i'm coming from a v3m, yea yea, i know how most of you feel about razr's...but where i live, it beat out every LG with reception. reception is the most important feature since i live in a fringe area. i'm looking at moto's lineup, but am tired of the razr-esq designs. do any LGs match or beat moto's reception?

thanks!

Contract or not?

I bought an LG VX-8300. I would like to get it activated. Do I need to sign a contract? The reason I ask is because I heard that if a person buys their own phone then they're not required to sign a contract. Is this correct?
