West Virginia, Alaska and South Dakota...

The three states that still don't have evdo. But... I went to verizon store in the mall again and the rep said evdo was very very soon... I could tell since it keeps flashing every now and then. I turned on my razor and it had evdo for a bit. I am excited. Poor SD always dead last. WV and AK don't count cuz no one lives there!

Upcoming Non-PDA Devices

Okay, so I created a topic about PDA devices coming out, and there are several questions about some of the other devices. Well here's all the information I have right at this moment on those devices.

You guys already know about these:

LG-VX8610 (Late Q1/Early Q2)
LG-VX9100 (Late Q1/Early Q2)
SCH-U940 "Glyde" (March)
Motorola W755 (Summer)
Motorola V750 (Summer
Nokia 7205 (TBA)
Nokia 2605 (TBA)

And the only one new phone that I really have, isn't really a new phone at all:

Samsung U740 Silver (TBA)

No exact release dates, and no pricing available as of yet. I'll update this as usual when I know more information.

Also, any questions pertaining these devices post them here, and any PDA ones in the other topic to avoid ...

PDA Recommendation - Best for Text & Picture Messaging

I'm looking for suggestions on what PDA phone (i don't want vcast, vcast music, get it now or any of that stuff) you can recommend to me that is best for texting as well as pictures which are the two main reasons I use my phone (as well as browsing the Internet).

Right now I have the Q9M. I like the fact that it runs Windows and the keyboard is qwerty . The battery life stinks tho.

Any recommendations for any current or upcoming phone is appreciated as I'm eligible for my new every two. Should I stick with Windows Mobile? Get the Q9C? Wait for the Curve? How is messaging on the curve? I've never used a Blackberry-can you insert sounds and animated pics into your MMS messages?

Thanks everyone-I hope you have a good weekend.

Gonna Do it...

well...i used to work retention for sprint...recently quit and moved to California, but i decided i was still going to keep sprint bcause i still had friends there and got the SERO plan. Well...the SERO plan was kinda pointless now that the simply everything plans came out, cuz i had a pearl, and was paying $70 anyway (30 for voice, 30 for BB plan, 10 for navigation). Tried the Rumor, cuz i figured all i really wanted was to be able to text with full keyboard, didn't really need a BB for that...well, the rumor sucks. the keys are really cheap and i was typing faster than the phone could keep up. And 3G and no EVDO?? it was awful. so...with the premium plans on VZW, and the fact that i am still well within my 30 days on SERO, i'm going to VZ...

Q9c vs Q9M vs Q

What is the difference between all these phones? I have the original Q and was wondering if I should get a another Q or wait for the Iris.

The Q9M got bad reviews but I the Original Q is just too slow and crashes too much on me. And luck with the Q9C anyone?

Bad business model for consumers

Have you tried to use VZ Navigator?
Tred to stop using it?

Well... VZW certainly is getting too big and too 'fat'. It became another big utility company.

I find continued charges on VZ navigator on th bill after canceling the service. I called VZW and asked what's going on? Alison, who tried to use intimidating voice said that VZW will continue to charge unless the application is removed from the device. Of course, I was never told that. You cancel the service but they continue to charge... It's like landline phone company charging for phone service until you physically move your phone from your house...

Sad thing is they are getting away with it... Time to write to attoney general's office and FTC.

razr2 or rizr? Please help!

I'm at odds between these two phones. My contract is up and I've narrowed my selection down to these two. Any sound advice will greatly be appreciated.

lost phone number out of the blue?

Had a customer who got a text saying that his profile had been updated, and he called in to find out the details. Turns out a glitch in the system caused VZW to lose his phone number; they said that it had "been canceled." he got it back; this isn't a prank; would anyone know how something like that would happen?

new data pricing?

anyone know about this? I've heard that it's coming out, but not sure if it'll cover all the devices. this would be for the 29.99 unlimited data option for personal use on PDA devices.

PDA Data

Has anyone heard about a new PDA data plan? I know that we have some training on PDA data soon and I have a feeling that there might be a plan similar the the Email and Web for BB but of course don't know for sure. Anyone know anything? Also I wonder what differences it would have from the current unlimited data plan (if they kept it around) like with BB. It would be nice if there was a cheaper option for PDA/Smartphones.

ONLY ATT EMPLOYEES AND TROLLS PREFER ATT

Wireless Week named VZW Carrier of the Year for 3rd consecutive time. Consumer reports ranks Verizon the best carrier for customer servie, connectivity, technology and image in the wireless community. RCRWireless constantly advocates VZW over the competition.

Truth_Seeker you just enjoy your bb 9900...on a network that's in all academic honesty, inferior. enjoy your second rate connectivity and call clarity. enjoy second rate customer service and slower high speed data transfer rates. one day you'll just happen to find the truth...it won't be in an att forum.

barrack the vote homie!

Best VZW phones ...

1) Motorola E815 (used to own it)
2) Nokia 6256i (have it in a box as a backup, unopened, still in the wrapper, NOT for sale)
3) LG VX9800 and/or VX9900 (used to have the 9800, currently have the 9900)

your thoughts.

What happens when my current 2 yr plan with Verizon expires?

My 2yr plan with Verizon will expires on 4/30. What if I don't renew my plan, eventhough I plan to stay with Verizon? Will Verizon shut off my cell phone service? Will they just bill me month to month at my existing rate? If they do, then what is the benefit of renewing?

Thanks,
