Will the Blackberry Curve have the new OS?
don't sell the 39.99 data plan
No GPS on xv6900
was dissapointed to see that GPS was not included for xv6900. all that i read about xv6900 before its release indicated that this phone would be GPS enabled but when it was rolled out it wasn't.
does anybody know if verizon will introduce something later to make this GPS enabled or is this something that can never be done since the phone has rolled out.

Verizon Glyde and enV2 price
Posted: Apr 24th 2008 10:28PM by Chase Higgins
Everybody ready for a little exclusive Cellformer information? I thought so. We have the price of the Glyde, and enV2. So here we go. The Glyde will be $300 on a two year contract, after a $50 mail in rebate. The enV2 will launch at $250 after applicable rebates. Also, the Voyager will be dropping in price. It goes down to $250 on a two year contract.
Sending & Receiving Long message on my LG VX8700
Just a couple of questions. Maybe you can tell me if it is a Verizon thing or a phone thing.
When I try to send a message over 160 characters it tells me that I am not allowed to do it unless it is to another verizon phone.
Also if somebody sends an email to [email protected] I only receive the first few lines of the message.
Are these things that can be changed by a setting or is it a carrier thing.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
USB to Micro usb (EMU to Micro USB)
Is there a Verizon stock number for the Motorola
Standard mini USB (EMU) to Micro USB adaptor made by Motorola? SKN6252A is Motorola's part number.
This is the adaptor that will adapt all the standard mini USB chargers to the new industry standard Micro USB style.
I know, sell less charger accessories, etc. But You can use your Motorola (newer) chargers, blackberry pearl(which is mini usb) all with the V9M, and ENV2 which seem to be the first two to come out with the standard charge port.
Thanks.

Which phone to upgrade to and what to change in my plan?
Well, the phone I have right now barely works, battery problems and old. I can upgrade and extend for 2 years, but without a phone credit. I have right now the family plan $70.00-20% Access discount for the first line only 1000min shared 3 addt lines. I pay about $110-130/month including all taxes. I only use it as a phone right now, but I would like to try emails, maybe text and might be using more minutes because I might be forwarding a work line to my cell. I heard somewhere on this forum that you can get $29.99 unlimited data plan on certain phones smt 5800 sv 6800 and I think 6900 ...

get it now access charge per mg? Download from internet?
I was advised by the customer service rep that I could download them on verizonwireless.com and send them directly to my phone. I have tried to do that and even called the customer care service number for verizonwireless.com where the woman told me it was not an option.
Anyone have any information on this???? Please??
Your Fave Fone Now? ...
Like a big dope, I failed to use my NE2 credit, got married, joined our accounts, and became a $10 FS secondary on my DH's account. Prob is now my old phone is finally dying. Motorola v710. Screen is gone, but audio is still intact, so still partially usable for the time being.
Everything I read about the current crop of Vz phones is discouraging. And, while the new tech is cool, I do think that phones should RELIABLY fulfill their primary purposes: connectivity/Tx/Rx/QoS and battery life... And the more feature-packed the phone is, the more over-head that darned Vz software takes up.
Any suggestions? Is anyone out there happy with their current Vz Phone? Or do I just need to hang on for the enV2?
TIA for your ti...

VZW employees! Please help!!
I am currently cust of Sprint. Within first 30 days (ends 4/26/0😎. Want to go to VZW for EnV2. But I want to keep my number. EnV2 is not available in stores til May 4th (outside of my 30 days with Sprint). Only available to order directly from VZW cust service, which I don't think I can do since I don't currently have VZW account. My options:
1) get crappy, "filler" phone through VZW til EnV2 is available in stores, and do 30-day model exchange. problem: if i don't like EnV2, I wanted to exchange it for the BB Pearl, and i wouldn't be able to, cuz you only get 1 30-day model exchange.
2) Just wait til EnV2 is out in stores, port number, and pay to cancel Sprint. Problem: lol, i have to pay to cancel.
3) Can...

Verizon Preparing Two QChat Devices, Palm Centro
There has been some confusion on whether Verizon could even deploy QChat, with the platform having roots in joint Nextel/Qualcomm development in 2003, owing to the former carrier’s preliminary decision to overlay CDMA EVDO access on top of iDEN in order to transition to CDMA. Nextel was eventually purchased by Sprint resulting in finalized development of the platform.
While Sprint does have exclusivity rights regarding interoperability between Sprint CDMA and iDEN devices, the platform itself is owned by...

Did I read recently that Verizon is opening up its service to phones like this? Is it possible for him to use this phone with (preferably) Verizon or any other U.S. carrier?

Yahoo email push
Currently I have a blackberry pearl and use the push feature to get all my email forwarded to my blackberry and it has worked VERY well. Unfortunately I don't care for the pearl much and ordered the HTC Touch the other day. My question is; is it possible to have any type of yahoo push email on wm6? I know there is yahoo 2 go but is there anything that resembles what I have with my blackberry where I get my emails almost instantly?
Thanks in advance to anyone who doesn't come back with "search" because I've searched and not really found the answer I'm looking for.
The Near Future Of Our Networks.
HTC appears to be on a marketing push towards the "direct" selling of phones to us in the USA.

I think it could be a great thing in some ways, but that will logically also be very dependent on the network provider and what relationship they have with a specific manufacturer.
So with that being said, and with regards to VZW's near future "Open Access", is the industry gravitating towards a scenario of where there will just be a network provider such as VZW, AT&T, etc., and consumers will be able to purchase "network specific" phones d...
