Verizon RAZR2 v9m UI

It goes without saying that running the VZW UI on the Razr2 is like running...well, it's like running the VZW UI on the Razr2. It's just stupid. Anyone know how I can get the OEM UI on my unit?

VZW Employees help? Plan change problem..

I had a 1350 minute / unlimited text plan with Verizon. I switch to a Family Share plan with unlimited text because my girlfriend is on Verizon and we talk A LOT because we're in different states right now..so I kept coming close to going over my 1350 minutes.

The problem is I switched my plan online and accidentally started the Family Share Plane in the middle of the billing cycle. So it cut my 1350minutes short and was using family share plan minutes before she even got her phone delivered.

This called me to go over by 95 minutes. The guy at VZW store said he couldn't change it. I called customer service and the guy on the phone told me he didn't have it in his system yet, and that it would be best to call back on Monday and they...

Was on the phone with verizon for two hours and..... (Question bout ND!)

They still could not find out when South Dakota was going to get EVDO. This is really starting to piss me off! A month after switching from alltel, what do you know alltel puts up TONS of EVDO towers in SD. In the article in the newspaper it said that a Verizon high up lady said that you can expect EVDO for Verizon very soon. That was November.

So I called Verizon and talked to like 5 people, none of which knew. I have another question.

WHen I look at the North Dakota Coverage for EVDO it is most of the state. NO one even freakin lives there, so why the hell is it all EVDO? anyone know....? Thanks!

ESPNMVP and Voyager Question

I was wondering how ESPNMVP works with the version 7 of the Voyager firmware. Can you access ESPNMVP from the outer touchscreen with the Version 7 upgrade?

Verizon Switches to GSM's Side For Ultra Highspeed 4G Technology

Verizon Wireless today announced it would support "Long Term Evolution" (LTE), the super fast 4G technology currently in testing from Nokia and its European friends in the 3GPP group, and operating at a blistering 100Mbps. It's certainly hot technology, but one seen as an extension of GSM's high-speed packet technology. This is a rejection of CDMA's EV-DO (which has a faster Rev. C that could have been rolled out) and a definite rejection of WiMax, which has been Sprint's chosen 4G technology. As dramatic as the shift is, it's not totally surprising when you look at Verizon's historic lack of compatibility with its European co-owner, Vodafone, an early LTE supporter. It also fits with Verizon's new pledge of openness: presumably this means i...

Why are contact capabilities so poor?

I recall an old Kyocera I had back in '03 that stored full contact info: name, address, email, zip codes, several numbers, etc.

My newest phone, a Samsung a930 does not have this nor does my wife's LG 8300.

Is this because VZW wants us to subscribe to Plaxo service or to upgrade to a smartphone w/ a lot of bells and whistles? Extremely annoying. makes me consider looking around when the contract is up. At least see what else is out there...

Voyager Order Question

I went into my local friendly Verizon Wireless store yesterday to upgrade using my NE2, and, as expected, they were out of the Voyager so I had to order it. However, I am alarmed at 1 thing:

THEY TOLD ME I MAY NOT SEE THE VOYAGER THAT I ORDERED UNTIL JULY!!!!

Is this true? Are they in that short of supply? Because I have a real problem giving VZW my money simply to hold for 6 MONTHS!!!

Just hoping someone here that works for VZW can give me some sort of better idea as to when I can expect to see the phone that I paid for yesterday.....Any help will be greatly appreciated.

LG-VX9100 = enV2

I saw the other topic, however I just wanted to weed out the misinformation from the correct information. So, in a way, sorry for creating a new topic.

Looks like phoneXpert00 proves to be no expert... again. There is indeed an enV2. The elusive lg-vx9100 you've been hearing about? That's it.

So here you go guys; confirmation from BloodiedWraith again. No release date or price set, however I do know that so far it appears to be a black device.

Anyone who works for Verizon Wireless can verify this if they just go into stock check and type in the SKU.

SKU:
LG-VX9100

Description of item reads:
LGIC ENV2 VX9100 BLK

So there you have it; I'm guessing by it having BLK tagged onto the description that there will probably b...

enV upgrade?

Hi everyone,
has anyone heard any rumors of a new version of the enV? I know the enV is awesome, but I'm wondering if they'll release the "next generation" enV that supports 1x EVDO Rev A, supports VCast TV, and has an HTML browser.

Thanks in advance.

The beginning of the end...

Sprint Nextel may take $31B write-down of wireless value

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (AP) — Sprint Nextel (S), the nation's third-largest wireless provider, said Thursday it may have to write off up to $31 billion in value.

The company said that an annual review of its goodwill — what a company is worth beyond its assets — determined that the actual value of its wireless goodwill was less than what is recorded on its books, currently valued at $31 billion.

Now the company is determining how much of a blow the balance sheet will take.

"Based on the work completed to date, Sprint Nextel will be required to record a material, non-cash impairment charge that will represent a substantial portion, and potentially all, of the ...
