Anyone else have this issues?

Whenever I try to e-mail a picture to my phone it get a return e-mail saying that the connection was refused.

If I login to VZW site to send a picture it immediately says my session has expired. To re login. So then, as soon as I log in again and get to the picture messaging part(2seconds later) it says my session has expired again.

This may be a problem that's isolated to my area(Rome,GA). I'm not sure. Sunday for several hours, multiple times, there was no service what so ever.

I went to VZW Store and the man there said no ones phone was working. Only txt messages would go through occasionally.

So is anyone else experiencing this problem other than me?

Were getting mediaflo at ATT soon. I'm not real sure exactly how it works from a technical standpoint. I know its broadcast in 700mhz but VZW/ATT don't own any spectrum there(yet). So is it in some unlicensed band in 700? If not, who owns it? Qualcomm? I also fail to see the monetary advantage of carriers using this technology since it requires dedicated handsets, etc.

just went through the verizon website trying to do a cost comparison vs the most basic iPhone plan because when my current plan expires, I'm considering all my options.

so the most basic "unlimited nationwide" pda plan with unlimited email, messaging and web, 450 minutes talk time, is $115 a month for 1 line. before taxes, surcharges and fees. (which is what I'd want if I got, say, a voyager (which also costs more than $150)).

the equivalent iPhone plan is $60/month. I could put a 2 iphone family plan in for $110 (3 phones for $140). that's what I'm paying now for a 3 phone basic family plan with unlimited text on only 1 line.

the cost difference between the cheapest smartphone on verizon and the iPhone is ~$250, so after 5 month...

Signal strength is where I get confused regarding cellular service. You have AT&T saying they have more bars in more places, you have Verizon saying they have the most reliable network. I read that some phones on the Verizon can hold onto calls even with little or no signal, so in the end, how much should be read into how many bars someone has for signal on their phone?? Does having four or five bars guarantee a strong signal, and thus no dropped calls?

So I have been reading alot on here lately, and I see ALOT of people complaining about VZW phones. I don't get it.. I think we have the greatest phones, and are always coming out with new ones! We have any kind you can possibly want. Any color, style, size, price.

I am currently with at&t... I have been unemployed for quite some time and I could not pay my phone bill... Well my phone has been turned off since the beginning of December and it was only like 274... Now it is about 540 bucks and I am trying to figure out what the hell at&t is doing... I am really considering leaving them when I do get back on my feet... I just wanted to know if VZW keeps adding up the money when a person is unable to pay their bill... I do plan on paying what I do owe but not no damn 540 plus bucks... They can kiss it on that note.. I am one that pays my bils on time but I am having a hard time right now and I explained that to them but I guess they really just dont care... Thanks

Verizon Wireless has issued a new firmware update for their exclusive LG Voyager.

The device has attempted to answer Apple’s iPhone in design and range of features. The earlier software update, released less than a month after Voyager’s release, added major web browser improvements and numerous bug fixes.

The new update, V07, enables the user to change the array of icons on Voyager’s home screen. This is an obvious answer to iPhone’s 1.1.3 update, which added similar functionality earlier this month.

waddaya think the liklyhood of vz picking up sprints assets is? given they both work in the cdma band and all. perhaps some kind of bail-out or outright buyout.
