Sending ringtones via vzwpix.com

You used to be able to send 30 second or less mp3 files to your VZW phone from any e-mail address. Just had to send it to your phone#@vzwpix.com with the attachment. Now it doesn't arrive on my phone. Did VZW somehow block this? If so, how can I get split mp3 files on my phone to use as ringtones?

Verizon Ruins Motorola Phones

I heard from a Motorola engineer that it is the Verizon flash software overlay that causes the problems that Motorola phones have on Verizon's network (freezing, battery issues, charging issues). He said that the same CDMA phones on Alltel's or USCC's network that use the TRUE Motorola software do not have all the problems that the Verizon Motorolas do. Thanks a lot for nothing Verizon, and thanks for ruining the phones with the best RF and voice quality!!!!

After hearing this, I am thinking of porting to USCC and getting a W385, the smartkeys on the outside work like they are supposed to, not disabled like the Verizon version. Also, Sprint has done the same thing, putting their propietary crap software on the Razr V3M. Why can't th...

I Have Some Questions About VZW

Currently, I have AT&T. I have had Cingular/AT&T since high school. I've never had any problems with the service or the company. In fact, I worked for AT&T customer care for two years. Now, I work for an AT&T dealer. Recently, I saw the LG Voyager. It looks sweet! It is the first and only phone that has ever made me think of switching companies. I know VZW's plans are the same as AT&T's (sans Rollover), but what makes VZW worth it? Can anyone explain EV-DO? Is it the CDMA version of 3G? Is is as fast as HSPDA/UMTS? Is it nationwide or only in select areas like UMTS? These are just a few questions I have. I would appreciate any input.

Advice for the moderators.

I think there should be a forum channel specifically set for carrier bashing. I used to actually enjoy coming onto phonescoop to look at news and see if anyone needed help or make a review of a phone I just purchased. It seems in the past couple of months its gotten so bad with the carrier bashing I have lost interest in this site. I suggest a forum channel just for carrier bashing and keep it out of carrier specific forums.

Is this the upcoming LG vx9100?

The LG KT610 GSM phone matches the description of the 9100 by Verizon insiders on Howard Forums.

OK BOTH NETWORKS EQUAL...... who do you chose?

Lets consider GSM and Verizon networks equal in coverage quality and even Customer service...

Who do you choose and why?

Bring all of it. This will be fun to read.
