Voyager

I'm a vzw employee and haven't had access to the Voyager yet. Consumers only right now. Has anyone noticed positive changes after the firmware update? Are these phones being returned at all?

PDA vs Premium plans for e mail and web surfing

I'm looking to get either a smartphone (probably the 5800) or the Voyager. My question is if I'm going to use it for phone, e mail, and web surfing what is the better plan to go with? The PDA would of course give me more options as far as mobile office but the Voyager would give me Vcast and Verizon Navigator. Also can you use a family share plan for 2 PDAs or PDA and a blackberry? I've looked at the verizon wireless web site but it's difficult to compare when they don't always specify what uses voice minutes on the premium voice plan. Thanks for any information. One last thing, what's the deal with the on line discount? does verizon's web sales compete with the corporate stores? seems a bit unfair.

Question about a return situation that i find myself in.

let me explain my situation , its a little complicated

ok so i got a new phone last month because i was elligible, i found out that i did not like

it. so i returned that to get the enV. Now it came with a $50 mail in rebate, so i mailed

the UPC in. Its been about a week and i've found that this phone is just not for me, it

doesnt have good call quality ( i mean it sounds like the other person is in a can) and

its too difficult for me to use . is there any way to just return it for one last time and just

get the phone i started out with?

Blackberry 8830 Question

Does anyone know if it is possible to sync the BlackBerry 8830 with Microsoft Exchange Server wirelessly without my company having the Blackberry Enterprise server?

Also, any idea if Verizon is planning on getting a Treo 755W?

Data charges and ringtones

😡 I just noticed on my bill that I had data charges on my account, so I called customer service to see what they are for since I do not use my phone to access web, email etc. I found out since I had recently switched to the national plan I am now being billed for browsing ring tones even thoguh I did not make a purchase. To me it is wrong to charge your customers data fees when they are purchasing a product from you in the first place. Does anyone else agree? Why would I purchase a ringtone from verison when I am going to billed for the ringtone along with the data fees associated with downlaoding it? The same with ringback tones, why would you pay for it, then charge a yearly fee to keep it? It makes no sense other than Verizon is forcing...

44.99 Unlimited Data plan...going down in price??

Well...i got a Q but was misinformed and now it's too late to return it. I was told that as long as I don't access the web browser I will NOT get charged KB usage. Well they were wrong. Everything I send or receive a pix/flix message I get charged KB usage and only one week into it I was already exceeding $100 in KB usage. And thats even WITH the Unlimited TXT/FLIX/PIX package.

So I was pretty much forced to get the 44.99 data plan because I'm not willing to give up PIX/FLIX messages. And I dont even use the internet at all. Never.

So...is there any chance that Verizon will lower the price of the 44.99 unlimited data plan? Come on Verizon...Sprint offers the same plan for $15/month which includes unlimited internet & e-mail, pic mail...

There is no concrete proof that verizon is getting the Blacberry Curve

This should be a sticky! As much as I would love to see the Big V hooking it up, I am not sold it will happen unless someone has some real proof!

Why can't anyone at Verizon help me?

I am a car salesman at "ABC Hyundai" I went to a Verizon store to see what the price would be for the Venus. It was $150 with the new every 2. The salesman typed in "ABC" and "ABC Chrysler Jeep" and "ABC Lincoln Mercury" came up. "ABC Chrysler Jeep" get the discount only if "ABC" pays the phone bill. "ABC" Lincoln Mercury employees receive a corporate discount. I want to get the discount at my dealership (Hyundai). The idiots at Verizon told me to contact the Chrysler Jeep store and find out how their plan is set up. They don't understand "ABC" is not going to pay my bill. They are giving me the run around on getting the discount. There are at least a dozen lines with Verizon here at the dealership. My contract is up and it’s like they ...

Quick XV6800/Data Usage question

I made a thread about this question in the XV6800 thread, but responses have been thin.

Basically, I want to buy a XV6800 for the purpose of opening Word documents, browsing the internet via WIFI, and text messaging (although the texting is very limited in the amount I do). The Verizon salesman went on and on about how I had to have a data package because it sometimes draws from the Verizon network even if I think it's WIFI.

Someone in the other forum suggested I call verizon and have them shut off all data usage on my account so that doesn't happen, but will I still be able to send text and picture messages if I block all the data?

This is the only stumbling block keeping me from buying this phone, so I'm a little anxious to find ...

Voyager v Venus

I'm getting tired of my Envee and can't make up my mind between these to. I played with them both yesterday and plan to look (or buy) within a couple days.
I'm leaning towards the Venus because of its size. I'd like a smaller phone for when I'm riding my motorcycle that I can put in my pants pocket easier rather than a clunky holster (like the Envee). I don't text a lot, but I do use the calendar/reminder on a regular basis. Do you think I will miss the qwerty too much? I had a BB 7130 before and the predictive tying wasn't *too* bad.... not as nice as a qwerty keypad, but I could overlook that with the preferred smaller size.

I just can't make up my da## mind.

Any thoughts? Anyone go from an Envee to a Venus and regret it?

Thanks...
