Missed call indicator

Is anyone aware of a Verizon phone, preferably a clamshell, that has some kind of an indicator light that would alert me to a missed call, voicemail, etc., without having to pick up and flip open the phone, or activate the backlight?

Thanks in advance.

Class action charges Apple with digital music monopoly

A class action lawsuit filed against Apple Inc. accuses the company of knowingly controlling the handheld market with its FairPlay music standard, forcing rivals out of business and allowing it to overcharge customers for iPods -- news that comes just as CD sales are reported to have dropped sharply in 2007.

Picture Messaging on PDA's (Final Answer)

Here it is straight from the M&P's.

Picture and Video Messaging on PDAs

As of 12/15/06, MMS (Picture and Video Messaging) no longer incurs transport charges on advanced devices that are kilobyte-based (such as PDA/Smartphones) while on the Verizon Wireless network.

If customers are on the Verizon Wireless Network:
• If the customer has a MB allowance, MMS will NOT deduct from it on the Verizon Wireless footprint.
• This enhancement is especially beneficial to customers on the pay-as-you-go data feature, as picture messaging transport will no longer bill at the pay-as-you-go data rate of $0.015 dollars per kilobyte.
• Normal MMS (PIX/FLIX) per-message charges apply, but will not use airtime or kilobytes, and wil...

Biased review on the voyager.

I've recently been looking at the reviews for this phone, and most of these people giving the phone a 0 or a 1and a half i feel that they are really biased, first of all its never been an iphone killer in anyway it was made to compete with the iphone, I have tried out this phone and the iphone, the iphone sucks, for one u cant get insurance on the damn so dont accidentally drop it cause u'll be coming out of your pocket again and buying a whole new phone. the iphone is over priced u cant even record video on it, i'm sorry it has been hacked to record what about 5 seconds, whoopdi damn do. the only thing i really see wrong with the voyager is that yes the touch screen can sometimes be unresponsive, and the ringtones are low, other than that e...

VZW is confusing!!! How does KB usage work on a Q???

I've gotten about 5 different answers from VZW. Nobody knows what they're talking about...

On my new Q I have not once used the internet including e-mail sync, web browsing, get it now...nothing. However #DATA says I've used 100 KB. How could that be?

I've got the $10 Unlimited IN TXT/PIX/FLIX so I shouldn't be getting charged for PIX of FLIX.

I don't browse the net.

Does anyone know? I know it's not much but I've only been using the Q for a few days and if it trends to be higher it could be costly.

CURVE?

Hi, sorry I'm new here and I have not filtered thru the old forum threads to find posts of info on Verizon possibly getting the Blackberry Curve w/ built in camera?

I'm not a fan of the pearl and I really really want the Curve but am too stubborn to change carriers.

Is there another Blackberry rumored to hit Verizon??

Should I wait? What about this google phone? Do ya think Verizon will grab a hold of this opportunity if/when it comes?

Does anyone even use the vcast thing? I find it pointless.

Thanks 🙂

Windows Mobile Phones comming?

Ok, so I have the original Q, and it is ok, but I need an upgrade. I want the same layout, but a faster phone with a quicker interface. I hear the Q9M is just as slow, so is anything else coming? The new Samsung is nice, but I do not like the flip out keyboard.

Any word on a WM Centro, or anything else?

minutes vs megs

my previous pricing plan charged me by the minute for data transfer so i setup my phone (lg vx9400) to use a free wap site for internet connectivity. I just upgraded my plan that now charges me by the meg for data transfer. Does this mean that since i am using a free wap site for connectivity I can surf the web 24*7 without incurring any charges from VZW?

Verizon or T-Mobile

I am sick of being jerked around by sprint and am moving to Los Angeles form the Mid west soon. So, I am shopping for a new service.

I can't decide between these two companies. Any suggestions?

I'm looking at either the envy, BB Pearl or sidekick depending on the carrier.
