Hey buddy I read your nightmare of an upgrade, and I still dont think you got 100% satisfaction! If you can go into an INDIRECT agent or maybe the place where you got your upgrade FINALLY tell them your story & ask them to give you customer referal credit. You can have up to I believe $200 in credit per year and it comes in $25 increments the only downside is it can take up to 2 full billing cycles. But I would have done that for you and given you 2 $25 credits. Hey $50 is $50 would pay for your extended batt! It might be worth it to pursue.

ps. you dont have to bring any customers name or whatnot just tell them to look at the past couple of new acts they did (aircards, added lines, brand new service) and use those as the custom...

Blackberry Question

Recently tried out an iphone and it was awful and AT&t's service is terrible. Had it for about 15 hours before canceling after every phone call dropped.

I was wondering if the blackberry curve is coming to verizon? If so what is the time frame look like?

Any info is appreciated.

3 days of ATT is enough!!!!

Well i grab two temps numbers with ATT and boy does their service blow chunks!! I can't fathom for the life of me how they have acquired 60+ million customers because their network seriously hard core lags behind verizon's. Is it that these 60 million never tried verizon? I dunno but I'm just glad I did temp numbers, these crappy phone are going back!!

Any New Blackberrys'

I was wondering if VZW was going to be getting the Blackberry Curve or Pearl anytime soon? I really dont care too much for the 8830 World Edition. Thanks 🙂 Also, why are their data plans so high? I am with at&t and their data plans are cheaper. Thanks 🙂

PLEASE HELP UPDATE

Please go to

www.signalmap.com

You may or may not know about this website, but I believe this is the only true way people can find out what kind of coverage carriers really have besides those maps that they provide us. Please add you input to this map. As more and more people add there signal to the map, it would greatly help people to choose a carrier that meets there needs by know what kind of coverage they should come to expect.

IF you should give you input please be truthful about what kind of coverage you have

Thanks!

All input is greatly appreciated!

Vodafone’s extraordinary $160bn Verizon plan

Mobile phone group Vodafone has been considering a $160bn takeover bid for its American peer and partner, Verizon Communications — a deal that, if consummated, would rival AOL’s takeover of Time Warner and Vodafone’s earlier acquisition of Germany’s Mannesmann as one of the largest M&A transactions on record, FT Alphaville has learned.

Vodafone has not yet approached Verizon with the plan and sources cautioned that there is no certainty the British mobile group will pursue the idea. Nevertheless, the move would be aimed, squarely, at settling uncertainty over the future of Vodafone’s US mobile interests — acquiring the whole of Verizon as the route to buying the 55 per cent of its mobile division, Verizon Wireless, that Vodafone does not ...

Turned Off EVDO on My Sammy 540 to Improve Battery Life... Any Drawbacks?

Other than losing VCast (which I don't have as part of my plan anyway), any drawbacks to what I did (turning off the EVDO)?

I hear that you might as well turn off the EVDO if you're not using it... improves the battery life. My Sam 540 has the extended batt, and seems to be doing fine there (had the phone 2 days and I'm still at 3 bars on the battery) but like they say, you can never be too rich, too thin, or have too much battery life. 😎

Since when do Free & Unlimited mean the same thing????

🙄

If one more person sends me another message SHOCKED at why there is a $20 or $30 difference in the Basic & Select plans, I may literally stab myself in the eye.

These people actually thought VERIZON WIRELESS, the ****iest and money hungriest of them all, was saying letting them have FREE text messaging!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I'm good.

Coverage Question

I live in a small town in SE KY, Middlesboro, KY 40965. Cingular/AT&T has coverage for the whole town. Sprint even has digital coverage for the town. But, Verizon only has an analog signal. I currently have both AT&T and Verizon (my daughter lives with my ex-wife in an adjoining county in Virginia that has Verizon coverage). I would like to leave AT&T and renew my Verizon contract, but only if Verizon will be getting digital coverage in Middlesboro. The local Verizon reps have assured me for the past 15 months that digital coverage would begin in a few months. Naturally, it has not (although we had coverage in part of town for 1 day last summer). Is there any way to tell for sure when or if coverage will be coming? By the way, AT&T is...

I am in a stump

Whats up everyone! ok heres the deal. Ive been working for VZW for a while now and just got a laptop. I need to get it connected to the internet and vzw gives us a great price on broadband access. I just dont know what I want to sync it up with. I can either go Blackberry 8830 or I can get an aircard. same price but I know you can do more with a blackberry. I just dont want to be that guy who carries around two devices. I do know that the Blackberry is a little faster than the card too but I am just kind of torn. So if anyone out there has an opinion of what i should do, please let me know.

Price of Black Motorola Q on testman site

I was browsing around on the testman site and came across the Black Motorola Q for $1.19 2 year pricing with a $100 online rebate which makes "Your Price FREE" You think this will be an offer in the near future or a mistake and if so, do they have to honor it as such even though it is the testman site? thoughts....

V9M - Still waiting ? Where is this already ??

I can't believe we are still waiting for this ?

Does anyone at VZW know what date this is set for ?

My people whoa e really connected think it's a long ways off b they are sometimes wrong..

I was hoping for July/Aug release.

The 730 MAH battery has me so concerned about it's battery life.. My guess is 1.5-2.0 hours of talk time.. Unless they came up with some new way to preserve battery?

It's just too small !!

Mobile Email problem

Hello All,

I am using Verizon's new $5 mobile email feature on my v3m. When I have it set to alert me for new emails, and my phone is in vibrate mode, the alert still causes my phone to have an audible beep. Is anyone else experiencing this, or has any Verizon rep heard of this problem? Is there a fix?

Other than this problem, I really enjoy this new feature...

Thanks
Mark
