Samsung i760?
Article

"The handset formerly known as I can do it all, is now up on Verizon's -- in some half-hidden way -- site. Of course, we're jumping the gun on this one -- as we always do -- as the only thing this little bit of info brings is confirmation for the posts we have put up in the past. We're expecting more details soonish on this hot little -- though arguably ugly -- Windows Mobile 6 slider, and will throw em up just as soon as we get something useful, like a date and price.

not getting calls? anyone else
Any ideas. Phone? Network??
Thanks
phone insurance
I love the phone, I think it's great. Everything is completely fine with it. It's just very delicate and I'm concerned about repair costs if something should break (I know the slider and navigation wheel would be very costly to fix!!!)
So my questions:
How much is insurance every month?
Can it be added to my plan at any time?
Thanks! đ

New LG Touchscreen phone LG KU990
Article pics..
"It looks like LG is getting set to release a new Prada-esque keypad-less phone, with its hereto unheard of KU990 model recently landing in the hands of the folks at Clipset.net. Apparently, this is one of the forthcoming YouTube-enabled handsets recently mentioned by the company, meaning that it'll not only be able to play YouTube videos but let users submit videos to the site straight from the phone as well. Otherwise, the phone's big selling points are its ample 5-megapixel camera and HSDPA connectivity, not to mention its sizeable 3-inch touchscreen. Rounding out the specs, you'll get a built-in FM radio, MP3 player, microSD card slot, and an array of pre-l...

When Upgrading to a New Phone, I Can Just Change the ESN Myself, Right?
When I get my new phone, I can just change my ESN online in My Account, I'm not REQUIRED to have the rep do it, and thus get charged for it, right?
Just want to have some ammo in case I get a guy who for whatever reason tells me "its policy" that they change the ESN in-store, or whatever. I've heard of this happening once, though the source was admittedly less than reliable.
Uh-Oh, Could I Lose My NE2 on a Technicality?...
You must retain the same wireless handset for 24 months in order to receive the full advantages of this program. If you choose to replace your handset at a discounted price, you will forfeit your benefits and be automatically reenrolled if you meet the requirements of the program.
I haven't 'retained the same wireless handset for 24 months' 'cuz my old one developed hinge and body cracks and broke, essentially. I've been using a friend's old handset for the past couple of months. âšī¸
What gives me hope here is that I didn't get said phone through VZW, so didn't use up an upgrade or early replacement or anything. Therefore, why should they CARE if I didn't use the same handset for 24 months str...

Low Signal Quality / Dropped Calls
One of my friends has a Razr and another has a chocolate (8500). Their apartment does have low signal, but both of their phones constantly drop calls. One of them (with the Razr) wants to leave VZW because she thinks that VZW sucks compared to T-Mobile (based on previous use). (Based on my own personal usage, that's totally ridiculous). She said she was on the phone with VZW CS for an hour and they've never been able to fix the problem. However, when she got the phone about a year ago, everything was fine. It's just that now all of a sudden (perhaps since the beginning of the year), all these signal problems have been happening. I kinda feel bad because I got both of them to switch and now there are so many problems. Bu...

New rules could rock wireless world
By Leslie Cauley, USA TODAY
NEW YORK â Coming soon could be a wireless broadband world in which consumers get to pick any smartphone or other device and load any software on it â not have to take what the wireless carrier wants to sell.
That's the goal of Federal Communications Commission Chairman Kevin Martin, who will propose sweeping new rules for wireless airwaves the government is auctioning early next year. The 700 MHz spectrum, being vacated by TV stations as they go digital, is coveted for its ability to penetrate walls and other obstacles.
Under Martin's proposal, to be circulated in the agency as early as Tuesday, mobile services in these airwaves would have to allow consumer choice.

When Did Tiered NE2 Begin?
I'm upgrading this weekend, and'll likely take advantage of my NE2.
Question: When did 'tiered' NE2 begin? I'm only on a $40 plan, so it could definitely affect my NE2, depending on when they started tiering it.
I signed my current contract in November of 2005. Hopefully that's before when tiered NE2 started.

I got the new chocolate!!! lg vx8550
I've only had it a few hours, but I have excellent reception and call quality. There is no echo and no static like some people said... at least I don't have that problem.
The navigation wheel is very nice, it actually spins instead of being touch-sensitive. You can also press it instead of sliding it around.
The speakerphone is very clear.
The touch-sensitive buttons on the front are very easy to use. In the settings of the phone, there is an area where you can adjust the sensitivity of the buttons. Right now I have it on "medium" and its perfect.
Around the navigation wheel there are little LED lights th...

This has to be the funniest forum EVER!
It never ceases to amaze me.
This whold Iphone thing is a trip. I work for VZW Online Sales. Nothing will make you people happy. If Verizon DID have the iphone, yall would bitch over the cost or wonder why you can't get insurance.
Its an ongoing joke here, Verizon could give its customers the freedom to make up their own plan, features, and PRICES but they would still complain. LOL!!!
The thing I want to tell people most is VERIZON DOES NOT MAKE THE PHONES!! There is loads of information and reviews on the phones. CHOOSE WISELY!!! If you pick the old LG that was free and it stops working after two months, guess what, you made the wrong choice. That's your fault. Its an investment people. If you want a phone to last two yea...
