The Good& The Bad Of Verizon????

I am looking to purchase a 2nd phone. I want a blackberry with my current provider at&t. But I also need a 2nd phone just because thats me 🙂 I was going to go back to sprint but i am not sure since they cancelling people for calling customer care too much 🙂 when I had them I use to call all the time because the phones were crappy and they charged me extra crap. Anyways I was wondering what the good & the bad is of verizon wireless? I stay in NC and have heard that the service is great here. Also any suggestions on any new phones, preferably flip and I also heard LG was a good maker. Also, back in May they had a promotion where if you joined them you got like 2000 bonus minutes. Any word on if the ywill be offerring that again cuz that is ...

q silver off vsw website, discontinued? +rant

so I wanna replace my trusty audiovox(nee toshiba) cdm-9900 with a pda-phone so I cruised the verizon site this last week or so.

noticed this morning that the silver q is gone.

is it being discontinued? is a new model coming?

and now the rant.

I am the non-primary on a family share plan. I have had my current phone 3 years and would like to upgrade. if I were not a current VZW customer, I could get a moto q for ~$100-150, but because I am a current customer, they want $300.

jerks.

end rant...

LG KS20

i emailed verizon about the ks20 and here's what they said Currently, Verizon Wireless does not offer the LG KS20. I am unable to provide
information regarding which equipment is being considered or approximate release
dates, as this may raise expectations that may not be met.

Although we do not have the handset you are looking for at this time, I invite

I never understood why I was told 2,343 different things at VZW

Example...before I canceled for Sprint I was trying to find out if I can upgrade.

Here are the facts about my contract (old contract now)...
- Contract end date is November 1, 2007
- One year contract
- Upgrade date is September 1, 2007

Here is what I was told at VZW...

- First girl at retail store told me to come in July 1, 2007 to upgrade at discounted pricing because now you can upgrade 4 months before contract end date. She also said I can upgrade to 1 or 2 year contract and keep my 39.99 plan.

- Guy at call center told me I can only upgrade 4 months early on 2 year contract going into another 2 year contract with a $20 upgrade fee. Also told me I have to go up to 59.99 plan.

- Customer service in another store told m...

LG VX8700 Speakerphone?

Hey all, my NE2 is coming up real soon, so I'm looking to upgrade.

I recently crossed the LG 8600 off my short list because apparently the speakerphone on it sucks. But the 8700 caught my eye, with 'teh sexay' brushed metal case.

My only questions: Is the speakerphone on the 8700 any better than the 8600? And can you use it with the flip closed?

I'm thinking that you can't use it with the flip closed, 'cuz in the pics the mouthpiece pinhole appears to be inside the phone, not on the end. 😢

Apple Issues Battery Program for iPhone....

Apple Issues Battery Program for iPhone
By: May Wong

For: Associated Press

A consumer advocacy group has expressed outrage over Apple Inc.'s battery replacement program for the iPhone, while developers and hackers are trying to figure out ways they could expand the capabilities of the hot new gadget.

The hybrid cell phone, iPod media player and wireless Web-browsing device launched to much fanfare on June 29. On the same day, the Foundation for Consumer and Taxpayer Rights fired off a letter to Apple and AT&T Inc., the cell phone's exclusive carrier, complaining that customers were being left in the dark about the procedure and cost of replacing the gadget's battery.

The iPhone's battery is apparently soldered on inside the devi...

No iSoup for You!

I found out that this article pretty much summed up my opinion on the iPhone, and what I think will be the general consensus of apples first foray into the market.

LG-VX8300 My Verizon Wireless (VZW) cell phone contract was up for renewal in August. I thought I might want an iPhone, so I kept resisting the repeated calls asking me to renew my contract early. I figured I'd wait until my contract was up, and then switch.

After reading and watching Tom Yager's and David Pogue's iPhone coverage at the end of June and beginning of July, I was quickly cured of most of my iPhone lust: AT&T-only? No memory car...

Got the Motorola W385 today and it's built like a Tank !

Guys

Just picked up the W385 Moto..

It's about the size of the Krzr but has a gorgeous Rubberized Finish.. Keypad is by far the best Moto has ever put out on any phone they have built and I mean it..

Yes it's a basic phone so alot of people wont care but the main features are nice. I have not activated it yet , later tonight but the speaker phone is loud and the bluetooth is I think the first moto 2.0 and should be awesome.. I tried the voice dialing and it's fast.

NO RED BARS !!! YEAH !!

It has black bars with the green graphics like the LG's... Very cool.

Screen is very small but very usable and the outside screen is basic but incredibly readable outside or inside no problem..

I have to test battery life and voice qua...

Sprint laying off....customers??

Cause they weren't jumping ship fast enough, they decided to start throwing them overboard...

From CNet

Sprint breaks up with high-maintenance customers
Posted by Marguerite Reardon

The squeaky wheel doesn't always get the grease.

At least not if the squeaky wheel is a Sprint Nextel customer. On June 29, 2007, Sprint sent letters notifying some customers that their service would be canceled by the end of July due to excessive calls to customer service.

"Our records indicate that over the past year, we have received frequent calls from you regarding your billing or other general account information," the letter reads. "While we have worked to resolve your issues and questions to the best of our ability, the number of inquiri...

MP3 Player Problem. Samsung a950.

so i have the samsung a950.
and i got the transflash memory card in 1 gig.
i syncronized the songs to the phone trough a cable cord,
using the windows media player 10.
the process was fine.

but when i try to play the music with my phone,
some will not work,
some will play for a few mintues then it will keep pausing and then skips to the next song.

sometimes it will either say "player error" or "unable to play ... "

could the problem be the memory card?
or what i can i do to fix this problem?
it's making me frustrated.
