Anyone try the Motorola H9 mini BT?? HS850??

I just got the H9 mini BT headset, or "earbud", yesterday. I'm getting mixed reviews from the people I'm calling. I will post my opinion after further review, but want to know if anyone else here has tried this BT? Any feedback?

Also, has anyone tried the HS850?

I'm testing these with a Treo 700p.

Thank you.

iphone frenzy over so now what

OK so everyone is done obsessing over this new gadget so now what? Those that have the gadget ocd will have nothing to fixate about so does the world go back to normal? Does Verizon and the other guys try to one-up this latest craze? Can they? I have to say it was kinda nice to turn on the news and hear about something fun instead of the doom & gloom or about Paris Hilton. 🙂

8550 chocolate II is in the stores just not for sale yet

Stores have them already..

I played with one yesterday..

It's real real nice , not sure how the voice quality and allt he functions work yet because they could not activate it..

The feel is really nice for a slider..

Buttons are much better than the prior version.

Seems street date is July 3rd-9th ? Unsure right now

perfect cell plans

Why hasn't any cell service come out with a post pay plan that allows you to pay for what you use. Example: use 1-500 minutes pay this. use 501-1000 minutes you pay that, etc. send 1-500 text messages pay this, 501-1000 text messages pay that, etc. simple and no guessing what plan to go on.

or do they just want the overages and pissed off customers with thousand dollar phone bills.

your thoughts!

I played with the iPhone today... here's my mini-review

First of all, I'm gonna say that it's not a PDA at all. It feels more like a regular phone that happens to have a touch screen.

The QWERTY keyboard was not as bad as I had imagined, but still pretty bad. I made many mistakes (repeatedly as well) and it took a long time just to write something quick. The layout was good however, and if they had made the same design into a hard keyboard, it would have been stellar.

The web browser was fine, but far from perfect. For one, I couldn't log into Phone Scoop. It froze. But the rendering was good, and pages loaded fairly fast considering it was using EDGE. In fact, everything on the device didn't feel like EDGE, it was quite fast.

YouTube worked surprisingly well. It was easy to find videos ...

Moto W385 Official Thread with lots of info ! Battery testing went great today !

Guys

Tested the battery till dead on the first day of full charge..

Got 3 Hour and 20 mins till low batt warning and then got another 14 mins in low batt.

This is unreal.. This is not using the timers but going back and counting the mins. on each call placed for the day. This is the only real way to test for time..

This makes the W385 , the longest real talk time I have ever tested on a Moto phone and I think longer than any current VZW phone at all..

WOW, cant wait till the battery breaks in..

The call quality is stellar and Bluetooth quality and keyboard feel is unreal as well. Shoot if it had a music player and a big screen , it might be the best phone ever 🙂

chocolates and speakerphone

I've been reading reviews on the LG chocolate phone to see what the biggest complaints of the phones are.

Almost everyone, including cnet.com, say the "lack of a speakerphone is very disappointing."

I went to my local verizon store the other day and they also said the lack of a speakerphone was a poor choice by LG and most likely they overlooked it and accidentally did not include it on the phone.

So I was playing with the phone in the store, and when you make a phone call, the button on the side of the phone switches from being a microphone/voice recorder button into a speakerphone button.

I was surprised that owners of this phone, and even LG reps had no idea a speakerphone was present.

Coincidence? 🤨

NY Times Article

An excert from a June 23, 2007 NY Times article:

AT&T’s share of new monthly wireless subscribers has fallen steadily over the last year, notably since it purchased BellSouth and changed its wireless brand to AT&T from Cingular. In the second quarter of last year, 29.5 percent of new cellphone subscribers chose AT&T, but that figure was 25.8 percent in this year’s first quarter, Mr. Hodulik said.

At the end of the first quarter, AT&T had 62.2 million subscribers, slightly more than Verizon’s 61.5 million, said Jonathan Atkin, an analyst at RBC Capital Markets. But Verizon is catching up a little bit each quarter.

AT&T is already doing worse than Verizon in terms of customer turnover, or churn, Mr. Atkin said. AT&T is now losing a
