So, people have been saying a whole lot of new phones are coming out in July...so where are they? Anyone got any news as to what is going to be released and when? I understand July just started, but a little info would be nice. iPhone dropped already and I have to be honest, it seems pretty sweet. I've been playing with my friends iPhone and it's awesome but not on the Cingular/ATT network. So, what's Verizon going to release this month to make good competition for it b/c keeping stores openes till 9pm is a totally dumb and useless move.

So yes the new law is in effect.. You can not use the phone while driving.. Big fines apply.. See below -

More important is the Iphone does not support voice dialing which would allow for LEGAL dialing while driving..

Iphone is the only current phone in production that does not have voice dialing. It's dangerous and they should be stopped from Selling devices that are dangerous.

I've been trying to find more information on the LG VX8550 that is going to be released soon... hopefully.

My 2 year contract is ready for an upgrade, and I went to verizon yesterday to upgrade. I planned on getting the Cherry Chocolate, but the sales rep talked me out of it because of the new chocolate coming out.

In the store, they showed me pictures of the blue mint vx8550. It's really sharp and I love it, but I want to find the pictures again, and I can't.

I read all the threads on here about seeing the phone in "infocenter" and "equipment guide" but I don't know what "infocenter" and "equipment guide" are... Any help??

right now i work for an indirect kiosk in MN, and have been kicking around the idea of making the switch.

i was just wondering if anybody has any info on how the stores in MN are run, and if the quotas are easy to hit?

i have been selling verizon coming up on 2 years now in November, i have been among the top sales reps in the company, well not now anyways because the malls have been dead, but besides the point, i can sell the phones easy.

Just looking for some guidance from the experts....I saw verizon now has their own mobile email program on GIN for the v3m and env. You can get alerts when new mail arrives. Is the phone constantly using airtime checking for messages? Also, is the new message alert charged as a text message?

Here's the short list:

1. Bluetooth is ONLY good for connecting a headset. That's it.
2. There is no file browser on the device at all. Data must be organized (if at all) in the appropriate application.
3. The camera is a simple application that has ONE button: the shutter. Pictures come out okay on the device, but nothing too fancy on a monitor, especially if it was an attempt at a macro shot.
4. SIM card is damn near impossible to open, if at all. I didn't look into it extensively.
5. Web browser is slow, even over WLAN. Even the simple OneList web app that was created takes around 20 seconds to load over WLAN....

My New Every Two is about due (Sept. 20) and I'm starting to looking into my options for a new phone. I currently have a Samsung SCH-A950 which I love, but I'm thinking I want something with a better phone and possibly a qwerty keyboard. I basically use my phone as a phone, but I do send a some texts, and use the camera a fair amount. I'd also like to be able to get rid of my little notepad & pen I always keep on hand, so a decent notepad application or PDA functionality would be great. Unfortunately, I live in an area where I'm on extended network 99% of the time (central MN), so I'm not able to use the web browser & email functionality much. What is up with Verizon Wireless ? I have worked for this company for over 12 years and have always loved my job and thought it was one of the very best companies that anyone could ever work for; but look what keeps happening. Verizon seems to have recently developed the attitude that they are so big and great that they no longer need to take good care of their employees, yes the employees that have made this company one of the very best wireless companies, if not the best. It seems like the bigger Verizon gets the less they care about the employees. I have heard that some of the top executives would like to start doing away with a lot of full time employees and have more part-time employees to whom they dont have to offer the great benefit...

Folks, the local AT&T store has lost my business forever.

Yesterday, I lined up at the AT&T store to get an iPhone. I was the 21st person on line.

At 6 PM, they started letting customers in 2 at a time. After about 20 minutes, two customers walked out with iPhones. Another 15 minutes later, another 2 customers walked out with iPhones. (How on earth it takes 35 minutes to ring up 4 customers, I can't understand.) During that time, no one else was allowed into the store. Not even customers who weren't there for iPhones. They turned away at least 10 angry people who wanted accessories/assistance in the time I waited in line.

I called my verizon store today and they told me (unwillingly) that this phone would be available online July 9th.

OMG, Why is Nextel so gheto about giving a customer their account number. It is so annoying, that and number block crap. They are leaving and porting to us either way, why be aholes just to get one last jab at them when they are heading out the door.

so annoying, they are the only company i have this issue with, customer doesn't have account #..calls nextel to get it and nope!

Anyone know what text messaging plans verizon has?

I know there is a $5 one and a $10 one that you can add to your line, but that's all I know of.

Any ideas? Texting is currently blocked on my line becuase I was receiving random spam messages.
